hmm it doesn;t particularly matter to me (plot size) which i know doesn;t help you make a decision, so i vote keep it as is.

good designs come in all sizes :D

<grins> Maybe you should sleep it off before reading hon. Then again I HAD just woken. <winks>

Hamlet, everyone.. I must apologize. We WERE just playing around, though it wasn't very nice of us to not let other people in on the joke. Mis, BBC & Nada are probably really going to beat me, but I don't want this exercise in silliness to leave any bitter tastes in peoples' mouths regarding the forums.

I wasn't joking about the land however, but yes, it's an interesting challenge to fit your requirements into the space, and one I would willingly endeavor to take if I wasn't sure that Nada & BBC have already done a fine job with their submissions -- as I am sure many others have as well!

After some time spent in realistic consideration, I realized that I do not have the time to take on this project even IF my submission were picked. I'm excited to see who builds what!

And again, my apologies if anyone was upset.. you should see the thread we have on our forum about this, hehe!

Edit: Now I am PRAYING no one thinks I am as arrogant as I intentionally came off in my above post. EEP! I love to build and I feel that I do an adequate job, but I do not love to flaunt! o.O

I have been following this tread as Hamlet will be a neighbor of mine. It has been interesting watching the peacocks strut. I can hardly wait to see the final build. I saw Miznomer's mock-up this morning, It reminded me of a small studio in the Berkeley hills. I walked thru, a tad small for one who is claustrophobic, but hey!! if I ever get an invite to Hamlet's digs I will make myself a smaller AV.! Or he can drop down to my lawn and have a Margarita.

Well darn Lyra.

Oh well it's ok. I think anyone who knows me would know I was kidding around too. It never hurts to clarify though.

My comments on the land size do stand. My mock up is in Federal and is just that.. a mock up, NOT a submission. It's only an altered prefab so Hamlet can get a better idea of what size we're talking. I think it would be great for a single but if you want guests in any numbers, it would be crowded.

I left room for stairs on the outside since there wasnt any room for them inside.

So is Lyra saying this whole thrash is some kind of
architecturally-based professional wrestling match?

I'd love to see your model, Misnomer, and I hope
you consider it as a submission to the contest. I'm
still on mostly-vacation until Monday, so if you like,
send 'um zipped screenshots to my hamlet@secondlife.com,
when you get the chance. A little write-up similar to Nada's,
describing the design, would rock too.

Sounds like we should keep the rules as they are, for
future submissions. In any case, I think I'll put up
them all up for a player vote, American-idol style,
either on this board or in-world. (Tho I'm not sure
how we'd do the latter.)

Well, maybe not quite as scripted. (Takes a chair across the facade). A little trash talk between friends is always present in any kind of competition - of course, spectators look at the talkers and think "what a bunch of jerks" - which as Bino made us realize, may not be what we are after.

Pituca hit the nail on the head with "watching the peacocks strut." 'cept this peacock has the Peoples Elbow!!

Has anyone submitted that has not wiehged in on this thread? After all this nonsense, if it goes to popular vote, I have a bad feeling they will win.

Yeah, after Bino's post and now Pituca's, I'm going.. Ooooops. Seriously guys, we PROMISE we were just playing!

BBC, if it goes to popular vote they SHOULD win after all this nonsense. <grins> But hey, it was fun.. even if people did get the incorrect correct impression. Heh.

Sometimes I don't even make sense to myself. And I want the Peoples' clavicle!

That is until you spoiled it by coming clean ;)

I think most of us that know you (or not, i don't even really know you guys) got that it was a joke, but it was funny. I mean really funny.

Oh well back to the boring forums....

I now see it was a joke, but judging by what I have seen go on in SL, I wouldn't have been surprised if it wasn't.

Long live the soap opera that is SL... or not :-P

Remember... truth is often stranger than fiction :-D

Don't let the massive Jessie Wall series fool you: I'm still taking and and desiring and posting design submissions! Hopefully we'll put up BBC's entry tomorrow, and others-- send 'em in!-- as they arrive next week. Then it's on to the voting portion of our program.
