SL as an alternative to self-destruction

Sorry, bout the tingling elbows, Maerl. I sprained my tongue, and had to use IcyHot on it.

It is not my job to help others or try to make their experience more enjoyable. It is (in my opinion) my duty to fight against people who seek to take away freedoms, viz. my tendency to attack anyone who tries to say the Jessie sim should be "polite."

I am here for myself first. My groups and everyone else come in a distant second and third. As I see it, I should not be paying money for someone else to tell me what to do in-world. The instant I find SL annoying will mark the last time I log in.

Hmm I don't think SL has got me that much. probably because I am mostly building right now and I don't talk much to other people I do think about the stuff I'm building a lot in real life, but not in a sense that SL blurs with reality...
but still it can take most of my thoughts
Interesting to read how other people expirience second life.. but let's not 'dwell' to the discussion of 'what you have to do' in second life.
Because you don't HAVE to do anything, or everything as long as you obey to the community standards.. if you want to stand all day in SL and do nothing and don't talk you're free to do that.
I do get a great joy in helping people in SL (as well as in RL)
but also just building and experimenting for myself can be very fun.
