From: Frans Charming That would be hot, i can tell you that. I'm quite sure it could stay in General, too. If it only stayed half as long as the SG thread that'd still be a very long thread. Btw, as long as we're in this forum now, how the heck y'all been?

From: Nolan Nash You don't have to listen. When I have the news on, and it gets repertitive or annoying, I change the channel. No one's holding a gun to your head and saying "click this link and try to scold people into behaving how I would prefer them to." This is why I've mostly stopped reading the General forum at all anymore.

From: Chip Midnight This is why I've mostly stopped reading the General forum at all anymore. I hear ya, it's how I am with 95% of the threads in OT. Iraq, Bush, Cheney, abortion, to no end. I could just jump in those threads and declare how they annoy me, and that people should stop talking about it to satisfy an over-inflated sense of entitlement to manipulate my surroundings... but I will pass.

From: Nolan Nash Calling people who wish to discuss an issue "petulant children" and "trolls" are not suggestions, no matter how nicely you adorn them in retrospect. I was calling the behavior as such and I never used the term troll. I also don't think the fact that I called people's behavior childish means that my statement was then precluded from being taken as a suggestion about how to modify behavior. Not to mention that I actually listed some nice alternative behaviors. But you shall have it your way. I am firmly suggesting that the behavior doesn't help the cause. That is the point I was attempting to make...obviously very miserably. Nobody has behaved childishly, except me. EDIT: I also was NOT telling people what to talk about, but how to get LL's attention in a way that might get the results they were seeking.

An over-inflated sense of entitlement to manipulate the surroundings is exactly the genesis of 99% of the commentary opposing the resmod program, and precisely why I find it so annoying.

Nobody has behaved childishly, except me. No, you didnt, but Zsuzanna did, and I was addressing you both in that post. Sorry for not clarifying that. I am firmly suggesting that it's much easier to modify the behavior of others without adding in the ad hominems. It's really quite ironic and I am suprised that you aren't seeing that it can only add fuel to the fire to couple parental admonitions with your suggestions. In fact, when you do that, you cloud your suggestions, as people tend to focus on that negative discharge.

From: Chip Midnight An over-inflated sense of entitlement to manipulate the surroundings is exactly the genesis of 99% of the commentary opposing the resmod program, and precisely why I find it so annoying. The program is obviously staying, and while that annoys me a bit, I can and will certainly live with it, and it won't affect me very much on a personal level, so I just want them trained properly at this point. That's the extent of my personal sense of entitlement. What is getting stuck in my craw at this point is that now we have some residents who are tired of "hearing" about it scolding anyone who talks about the program in any way, shape or form. This may be because there are a couple of idiots, well one in particular, who cannot discuss it like adults, and I don't want to pay the price for that. That price being lumped into a group of uber-whiners because I might reply to a thread about it. See, if you (figurative) think that people are acting over-entitled, trying to control or change their speech via attempts at shaming them by labeling isn't the best way to prove your point, as that smacks of entitlement in and of itself.

And, seriously, shaming me for shaming people....say what? I will clarify once again: I AM NOT SHAMING YOU FOLKS. LL ISN'T LISTENING. YOU MAY WANT TO CHANGE YOUR TACTICS. If you don't feel like it, that's cool too. I do not seek to control your behavior. Carry on.

From: Frans Charming That was quick. Yes, one wonderful new benefit of the ResMod program is they can whisk critical threads away toute suite. It's very efficient.

From: Margaret Mfume They have no power? Nonsense. The ability to stop a discussion is power. Funny that - because some of them claim to have no power, yet some do. The one consistency has been inconsistency, which again, I think stems from <lack of> training.

From: Weedy Herbst Then it should have been posted where it belongs...Notices and Well Wishes. Somehow your sense of entitlement is unable to grasp that........... Notices and well wishes? I could have sworn this was in the resmod forum earlier. OK, well, I'm happy with notices and well wishes! Can you grasp that, Weedy, with your sense of cattitude? coco

From: Cocoanut Cookie It certainly was. Too bad - it was a public service message that would have prevented the posting of even more threads to discuss the resmod issue, and saved them lots of trouble moving threads. coco You're right--I'll post a PSM in General right now!

From: ZsuZsanna Raven I think it's way past fair to say that LL knows how people feel about this issue as it has been discussed non stop since its inception. They obviously don't care what we think about it so I think its about time for people to quit beating the dead horse because it's gotten old. There is nothing I have seen recently that hasn't been said since day one and it is just trolling as it stands now.
Could someone please start some new drama so people can quit talking about the res mod crap. Perhaps you too could become a ResMod and purge the forums of that which you find beneath your patience to read.
