I have a dream of an Oz-themed area or sim. I was kind of dreaming of doing it myself until I realized it was beyond my capabilities. In my mind, I see an area in all black & white, and a doorway to a technicolor wonderland. When I was briefly considering doing something like this myself, I even knew I'd be asking Fallingwater to help design it, since her flowers and a lot of Seacliff remind me of Oz.

What kind of theme would you like to see/build/live in?
A circus build. Big top, scripted trapeze acts, animals. Rides. Bright, fun. With actual "shows" or a gritty "Carnivale" (HBO show) style carnival. The gritty textures, shaky rides. People to play the cast. Maybe a few freaks & geeks. Gotta have the fat lady, dog boy, etc. -Sun |

You could have it from all around the world, and travel through time like an 80s area with hopscotch and laundry hanging out and breakdancing. There are many stores that sell clothing and bling, but not a full simscape, built grittily and well-constructed but yet truely representing the roots and heart of hip-hop. I'm not talking about gangster stereotypes, but the vibrant lyrical poetry of the mic and the dope rhymes that flow like liquid swords... some of my faves like KRS-One, Public Enemy (someone's got to make the Flav's clock), Rakim and Eric B., Busta Rhymes, Ol' Dirty Bastard (RIP), etc. which brings me to my next point. WHY I WANT LINDENS TO MAKE A NEW CONTINENT NAMED AFTER WU-TANG CLAN AND THEIR ASSOCIATES. (I'd live in Rza.) Man, that would be huge. There really doesn't seem to be much hip-hop culture in SL. I actually tried to make a Flavor Flav clock, but I was even more of a n00b than I am now, and got annoyed by not having a good analogue clock script on hand and not wanting to write one from scratch. I'd live in Ghostface. |

I've been thinking a lot about a medieval-themed sim - not so much Elvish fantasy (although they are obviously very similar) but have 1/4 be the massive castle with various smaller homes and huts, yadda yadda within the castle walls which would run along the edges of the sim. Shops, etc. all themed. Maybe its just been too long since I've been to a RenFest.
Oh, and I'd live in Meth. (AKA Johnny Blaze!)
