it's an interesting problem.

Maybe people could be voted into the position of judges?

Taken from The last paragraph on pg. 16 of Cory Ondrejka's paper "Changing Realities: User Creation, Communication, and Innovation in Digital Worlds :

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

that's a good idea because nobody abuses similar systems like ratings and dwell.

I would agree with Chris on the SL Court System, but not with the current population.

They're simply too paranoid to trust anyone else besides the Lindens

We'll have to grow over 1 million residents to dilute the current number of paranoids a little more. And even then we may find out that SL attracts mostly paranoid people anyway, so this won't work either.

My vote is to postpone this discussion to 2007 (Philip promised us 1 million users by then

)
