I think a nice feature would be to bring back the Neverland Sim once a year every December as a holiday treat. There are alot of new people in SL who never got a chance to see the great sim that Neverland was and a lot of long time members that miss it or never got a chance to experience it. I for one never got a chance to see it but with all the great talk I have heard about it, it is a shame to keep it locked up on backup media hidden away from the SL world. So come on give us all a treat once a year I bet it will be a big hit.

was a wonderful place, consisting of two island sims, based on the Peter Pan Story.
first one was old london town, where the Darling family lived. When you found their house you went to the childrens bedroom and open the large bay windows, then Magic Dust falls on you and you are able to fly. You fly to neverland, where Peter Pan and Captain Hook lived. there were fantastic pirate ships, wooden carts you can ride in that took you around the mountain sides. There were free period costumes which were fun to wear and free fancy dress costumes of pirates. We had great time playing at Pirates with animated swords and in old London town had horseless carriages (old cars) which you can ride in. *sighs* i miss it also ![]() |

some key words for the rest of this thread: Bedazzle, FIC, (Star Chamber if Mag comes over), favoritism.
For those who never saw it, I posted some pics here: /53/82/30302/1.html There are others dotted around the forums too. |

SPELLBOUND would like to bring Neverland back

some key words for the rest of this thread: Bedazzle, FIC, (Star Chamber if Mag comes over), favoritism. For those who never saw it, I posted some pics here: /53/82/30302/1.html There are others dotted around the forums too. Fey Brightwillow and I, the founders of SPELLBOUND who built Neverland want to thank you for all the kind comments about it. We actually did discuss bringing it back for the holidays, and have been trying to figure out how to do it. Neverland consisted of 3 sims all connected. While the original land was sponsored very generously by the Lindens as a temporary build and pilot project, to bring it back we will have to be responsible for the land costs ourselves which are considerable. (Which Spellbound is not opposed to doing) It was an amazing project, and enjoyed (we hope) by so many. Everything at Neverland, (costumes, avs, souvenirs, etc) were offered free of charge and residents spent many hours *hanging out* particularly in the Olde London sim. If at all possible we will be happy to bring Neverland back for everyone to enjoy during the next months. If all the original members can find time to *tweak* and add to Neverland, we will certainly enjoy rezzing it for all. Thanks for the pics Kris! Happy Holidays - With love, Baccara Rhodes _____________________

I would love to have Old London back (if we can only have 1 sim) as it was one of the most enjoyable places I've visited in SL in a long while!

Agreed

I never got a chance to see Olde London, so I'd love to have it back.
In the meantime, everyone should check out Dickens St, Amsterdam, Withnail Academy, Verloren Castle, and Neualtenburg for similar flavour. If you know of any other victorian builds, please post them here. It would be fun to do a Victorian Christmas tour. |

land Costs
12-20-2005 14:41
I’m sure it will cost alot since it was 3 sims in use, I for one would be willing to help out by making a donation to help cover some of the cost's perhaps others would as well. It would be great if the lindens would help out with a special rate or donate the land this way this can become a yearly event that will benefit everyone.

I would donate 12ksqm of land tier if the sim would be inhabitable instead of just store fronts, I'm talking about just restoring Olde London and not Neverland. I'm suggesting a working, breathing, living Olde London.

Academy
12-20-2005 16:40
I'd be happy to relocate Withnail Academy into Old London as well. I currently pay for 1/4 sim.
We'd have to hash out ownership and control issues. I don't like to "rent" land from landlords other than LL. Perhaps we could buy a sim, but have it divided into four quadrants with four seperate owners, each paying their own tier. The risk then is that one owner might put up a futuristic megamall. -WW |

Hi toy.
![]() I remember Oz, and I still have photos of myself with Baccara and Fey, posing on the Yellow Brick Road and in front of the gate to the Emerald City. Oz was awesome. No two ways about it. |

Old Sims
12-23-2005 10:07
I guess from hearing about all these great SIMS that are now off line, it would be cool if they would bring them all back once a year in a rotation of some sort perhaps change the SIM each season. It is a shame to keep these closed down.

Ah, I was here for Neverland. A dazzle indeed it was, I remember running into members of the Spellbound team in FULL PERIOD REGALIA and even speaking in a tone conductive to the era.
Lecktor Hannibal and were run over by railcars and promptly proceeded to adventure. I really liked the color of the poisoned cake. Chance Abattoir and I went hunting underground and he found some stray trees and even a fireball. "Peter" Panthar Orlowski was a difficult opponent as Captain Hook, LOLEX. The FairChangs showed me their pirate ship and launched me out of the canon several times. I found that rather addictive. And many more. Fond memories! _____________________

I remember Oz - sometimes I put on my Munchkin AV and look for trouble! Oz was great, too, but Olde London and Neverland were over the top

But...thinking the good side...if it come back, it wouldn't be a true Neverland, wound it? *smile* People keep thinking of them, like the real Neverland ![]() _____________________
