Ciaran, I take it you haven't visited X-Caliber, near the Outlands. The Pit is a fully-interactive game, basically one-flag CTF, that people can play. if (CTF == art_gallery) { wtf("?"  ; }

I too did the TSO beta. It was fun & even addicting.... for about a month and a half. Needs for me became redundant & annoying. Skilling was something to do afk and the needs were the only thing that kept me coming back to the computer. I dont want or need a framework. I like that there are no predetermined hoops to jump through here. I'm not forced to sit with 17 other people who are only there because they have to be.
The socializing that I have done here has been natural & genuine. My goals are my own and that of groups I have freely joined out of want rather that requirement.
I agree with Kerstin (nice to see you posting by the way) this is more a community than a game. Its also more a community than a chat room. Only recently have I been asked "asl?? " and thats after being on for some time now (I hate that question btw, learn these things in conversation if you really want to know).
If people need to have a predetermined script to follow to enjoy the "game", I respectfully submit that this isnt the "game" for you. This isnt meant as a slam. There are a lot of games out there and plently of them arent for me either.
BTW, "MUVIE" is pretty darn cool.

um guys... if you look at the dates, this thread is 3 months old... that is not to say that we shouldn't continue the discussion, but that certain points of it are not entirely relevant. i.e. phil, there was no pit. mis, gah i am a little disappointed in you, that is an old post from kerstin heh
