Only if you're the sole owner. Group land doesn't qualify... Which for me means that although Mochastyle is constanltly on the popular list, and makes a fair amount of dwell... it'll never earn any Dwelloper incentives since none of us could afford the RL $ to hold the land tier alone.

some people have no skills. And they are here to have fun, not work. People who provide cheap entertainment (clubs, casinos, whatever) for the clueless masses help keep those clueless masses in SL, and help line LL's pockets.
As much as you and I hate the "90% of idiots", they are a necessity. They buy our stuff and pay mothly fees/land tiers that help LL stay afloat. If the world was populated by 100% talented people, no one would buy your stuff because they could just make it.

I'm glad that someone actually gets this. I agree Eggy. People who only get a stipend based on their ratings because they're purely social can never come even remotely close to the L$ a talented scripter, buiilder, or texturer can make. Purely social people are actually at a serious disadvantage. They SHOULD get a higher stipend. I don't think I should get one at all. I think if someone makes over X$L a week they should stop receiving a stipend and it should instead go to boost the stipends of those who don't sell anything but just enjoy shopping and hanging out. Without having both creators and consumers in SL it would go belly up inside of a year. The people who only shop and socialize are every bit as important as those of us who hide in our hermit holes tinkering all day.

Reason: People need incentives to gather.
Action: Rewards are given to landowners to encourage.

Reason: People want to socialize.
Action: Businessfolks open places where people want to go.

There were clubs open before Dwell was even a feature.

Why do people need incentives to gather? Are you saying we're all going to avoid each other like the plaggue unless we're all dancing with some canned animations in close proximity?

Dwell's okay, I guess. It's silly, in my opinion, but it's not easily gamable. The rules are bent for greed's sake, however.

Thank you for explaning this.
Although I still dont understand how were getting the thumbs up on our map and running over 4000 on dwell, running about the same as another club I know and I get 179 vs the other clubs 1800 on dwell.
I do know that Linden has some really crazy ideas about there economy and new people like me are forced to buy L's just to pay our people who work for us.
Myself I dont see me investing much more time in sl as I cant even make 1% of my land cost to help offset my rl expence.

Drop ratings, they are 100% pointless. You might as well rename it Handshake Count. Plus, they have been abused by people who try to strong-arm each other - remember the Homies, and any number of accusations against people for using their alt-avs to pack-neg people they don't like?
