Yes, Torley! If these various tutorials could be in one OFFICIAL Infohub area, that people would know to go to, that would be great. I don't care about the freebies and free house and all that (though I DO think people coming new into the game need to have a sign on Orientation Island that SAYS "free goodies at Help Island" so they won't hastily pass it by). But those tutorials and things, that would be wonderful to have in one place, that is official. (Also the bird on the wire, lol. I feel enriched by having seen that!) coco

From: Torley Linden I love connections. One ongoing thing which I've been thinking about is: how can we make better use of the Infohubs as a community? And yes, we have these fantastic help resources on Help Island. As has rightly been pointed out, Resis only Help Island aren't the only that need help. And I could point to several related things like the Live Helpers notecard pack in the Welcome Area under one of the pavillions, that's only handed out if you're a member of LH currently. Like, and this is wild speculation: what about turning one (or more) of the Infohubs into something like Help Island in the future?Ideally, we take that space, fill it and nurture it, and give it a place in the community that's sensible, fun--and helpful! Based on a preexisting example that has already solidly been developed, the "mother" Help Island. So in the spirit of Second Life, I would really like to see what's succeeded so well on HI be replicated elsewhere, and cultured--meaning, adapted to the local environment, allowed to gel over time. There are a few things (including technical things) which have to take place before that happens, and we're going to observe how Help Island develops too. More ideas please! Help Island is an entire sim, half a server. An Infohub is the new name for the parcels that used to house telehubs. A randomly selected Infohub hold only 1,087 prims, and occupies only 4,752 sq.m., a tiny fraction of the area of an entire sim. So there are some reasons why the parcels called Infohubs can't be a new Help Island. I don't think their are any notable educational resources available on Help Island that are not available elsewhere, not a one. If that is not true, can someone indicate what it is or if there is more than one, what they are?
