Anyone else having problems with thier listings at SL Boutique?

http://www.slboutique.com

Suddenly lots of my items that were listed before have lost their descriptions and photos, and are shown as unlisted.

Are your vendors in world still rezzed? This will sometimes happen if your vendors get returned to your inventory or if the sim they are located in is having problems.

If the problem persists please IM Commerce Leader in world.

Yes my vendor box is rezzed, and has been for ages. I sent an email to the Help address on the website. I can understand if an item became unavailable, but would that make it loose its description and photographs too?

Slboutique has always been a problem, also dont hold your breath waiting for them to respond to your email is like waiting for a tornado to hit new york city...

I emailed them a month ago, still no response, so if i were you, stick with slexchange, dont bother with slboutique, thats what me and several others are doing.

Actually SL Boutique has always been responsive to my emails and requests in the past, perhaps it was the way you asked? Sorry to hear you have had problems. I thought you left SL.

Jennyfur... I will try contacting in world, thanks. I just dread having to fill out all those descriptions again.

I'd say it's yet another case of LL strikes again.

Hopefully they can manually take care of it.

FYI SLB is down since the grid is also down.

I wanted tomake it clear that I posted this here not as a complaint, but to find out if anyone else was having a similar problem.

Now that the Asset Server problem has become known, I wonder if it could be related to that. I had added an inventory item to the SLB box and clicked on the box to update it earlier today. Could be the Asset Server problems borked it.

I was informed that LL's XML RPC server went down earlier today which allows for transactions to take place from 3rd party website to the Second Life grid.

This happened to me the other day. Some new things that I'd listed got converted back to unlisted. Someone managed to buy a copy anyway, and it wasn't delivered to her (I had to manually pass her one), though I still got her money (!). Which is disturbing, really.

Just the usual (my items don't show up with you enter searches for terms in their tags, names, or descriptions, whereas items that don't have the search term in any of the above do show up). Been meaning to IM Commerce Leader about it, but I've been so busy lately I just haven't gotten around to it... been hoping they'd just get the bugs in their new system worked out and everything would just work...

I kinda prefer the website where things just work without having to IM someone every time I do anything and the expected results don't occur.

Happened to me the other day, too. I figured I'd done something wrong, since I'd just set the thing up. There were also some serious speed issues with the site later that day, which a friend confirmed wasn't solely on my end, so that might've been it, too.

It made me wonder how the server works though. Is it considering two items with the same name unique (based on their keys, I'd assume)? If I delete the object in the server, fix something, and put a replacement in the server and update, is it supposed to lose all the information? Because it seemed to do so. Must do a test tomorrow.

SLExchange doesn't, and as far as I know MySLShop doesn't, but haven't checked that one specifically.

It turned out the new permissions I'd set before listing on SLB were wonky anyway, so no big deal ... but if it's doing what I described above, it's seems likely to be rather a pain to update things.

In a previous conversation with SLBoutique they told me an easier work around for updating an object in thier listings is to delete it from the server box and immediatly replace it with the updated object, with exactly the same name. So as long as you dont wait to long before adding the updated object, it shouldn't loose the descriptions, etc.

That is profound , Imagine SLB working hard as the other websites...hmmm one wonders? ok , pose this Question : what about the way SLB lists items...now thats a real Hoot *pain in the $&$ ;-)

I've tried using sl boutique for the first time today. I tried logging in with my sl name and password and it told me it wasn't valid. So I assumed that I had to register with the site with my name and set a password so I did this. It told me that I had successfully created my account. So I went to add an item to my wishlist, it told me to log-in and when I entered my details it told me they weren't valid. Anyone had this problem. I doubt I entered the wrong password when registering because I had to do it twice. I've tried logging in a number of times now.

Same here. Something sold and I got a message that it was undeliverable and that I had to deliver it manually. It was lucky I found the person quickly.

Everything (except one of my items) was de-listed and all descriptions and keywords are gone.

Gonna be a biatch to redo all the art, descriptions, keywords, etc...

Void, you should IM Commerce Leader in world, your purchases will show up in your account history with them. SLB should be able to see if a delivery did not go thru. Late yesterday I got an email from SLB that said there was a problem delivering an item of mine to a buyer, this morning I sent the buyer another copy.

Yeah I got that undelilverable message on an item too. Sounds like this is not just a problem for my products. Misery loves company I guess.... It actualy makes me feel better that I am not the only person who experienced this problem. If there are two of us, there are probably lots more.

I feel badly for SLBoutique as well as all of us. SL's defective asset server has cost us all alot of money and time.

Sorry to be slow to find this thread! I'm normally on top of the forums, but SLCC has me fairly busy right now. The other two SLB geeks, Ryan and Christian have been working hard in my stead.

ArchTx is right, we have had a small bit of data corruption, and he is one of those affected. We've taken the site offline temporarily to investigate. Sorry in advance for any inconvenience. I'll post more when I know what is going on.

Harry, every bug we have submitted gets added to our Bugzilla - it seems for some reason we didn't receive it? Could it have been blocked somehow? So sorry to hear that. All IMs to Commerce Leader are also filed into Bugzilla, or problem tracking software. Feel free to IM me directly if you queries aren't answered for some reason; my personal IMs go to my personal email.

Regards,

-FlipperPA & the SLB Team
