I agree with Nimue. I think the show will still be entertaining, but it would be lovely if Torrid would change her mind and return.

So Torrid is no longer here. So what? If she didn't feel it was that important to her to continue here then fine, let it rest. Constant threads about how she's missed have gotten really old, really fast.

Funny thing is, as can be seen in most these posts is, the majority of those shedding tears over this person haven't a clue who she was. Seems she's gotten more press out of leaving then when she was here and many didn't know or care about her.

Dear Torrid,
I understand the choice was yours, and I also sympathize with the difficult decision to pull the plug. Don't listen to any of these people, the ones that would like to trivialize or reduce your influence, because I consider it part of the "Golden Age" of SL, and you won't be forgotten.

I feel that SL has turned a few corners, and it isn't too surprising that the most voiciferous are also the newest members. With no persistent history, other than the wiki I suppose, there isn't any regard for past achievements. I'm sure the cycle will continue, as newer blood infuses SL and then rails against the prior wave of residents.

If I could say anything Torrid, it would be that I'm glad to have known you, your work, and have been able to participate in a secondcast show or two with you. Take the time you need, and if the urge ever strikes you - please consider returning, if only to an estate sim....something....

I ignored the first 4,999 threads, it's the last 40 that have been annoying.

Essentially, all this fuss and tears and whining and villianization of the people the girl stole from is rediculous. I've been in sl for about 1 1/2 years now, yes, this account is the one I use, would you prefere I use my old one to post, that I never enter SL in? Well, that's a bit of a lie, I go on to update my vendors with it, but regardless, this is my primary account, that I actually use to like, do anything in SL =)
