Secondcast episode 32 is out. The download is available here.

The Secondcasters bid Torrid Midnight farewell as co-host. Torrid gives her account of the recent events that lead to her decision and the hosts discuss the details. There is a bonus ending for Torrid fans.

Stay tuned next week for a new voice!

Johnny

Was that Torrid singing "Fever"? If yes, all I have to say is: wowoweeeeee! That was fantastic!

And I love the show. Secondcast never disappoints! :)

Thread #9000 about torrid,

I care and I don't even know her. I care about all the people who get chased away from doing something they enjoy and care about by petty politics.

I hope you take a break and come back again soon Torrid Even if you decide to do it just for enjoyment and don't do any creating. Good luck in whatever you do.

Torrid is someone who many people have known for years. If you were so unconcerned, you wouldn't have bothered to type. My god the internet is full of assholes.

Hopefully you'll become well known one day so we can take pot-shots at you for it.

Whoops, I missed it - thanks!

Well, good luck to him/her in their non-secondcast endeavours, whatever they are :)

I knew she had a great speaking voice but I didn't know she could sing! And so well!

She has many talents. I wish her well.

I applaud Torrid for doing a farewell of sorts on SecondCast...I imagine it was not easy to keep emotions in-check as well as she did under the circumstances. I only know her casually, very casually...hell, she probably doesn't even recognize my name, but I always admired her not only for the quality of her designs, but also for her involvement in things such as RFL and her voice...yes, I am jumping on the bandwagon about her voice. As a radio station owner/DJ I can't help it LOL

So Torrid, if you read this, I wish you nothing but success in all the things you set out to accomplish in the future, whether they include SL involvement or not. You are obviously a strong, ambitious, dedicated and intelligent soul...more people should be like you, the world would be richer.

I never had the chance to get to know Torrid too well personally, but she's definitely one of my favorite designers; she does very good work. I hope she does well, whatever she ends up doing! :) Best of luck Torrid!

I am famous, and people do take pot shots at me for owning The Crack Den, which has been named "the worst thing to ever happen to SL" =)
I enjoy pot shots, but REALLY, the reality of the situation is simple, no one gets "chased out of the game", there is a mute feature for a reason, if you leave, YOU make the choice, not someone else, so posting, saying, and whining about the same thing 5000 times is completely unnecessary, heh, the fun for the kids part of this whole saga is that torrid fucked up, couldn't admit it, ran and hide like a wimp, cried about leaving, got sympathy, and anyone who disagreed with her mighty opinion gets called a "troll" or worse. Really now, if she is free enough to blame others for HER choice to leave, I'm free enough to post how rediculous having 20000 threads about it, and you are free enough to call me an asshole for having an unpopular opinion! Yay for freedom!

I totally agree with Lilbit Nervous about this tiresome subject about Torrid leaving.

That's all you see around here. Post after post about Torrids farewell and why she left. Let's be realistic, no one really cares. Maybe a few people who were close to this person while in sl will probably feel a bit bad she's gone but that's it. And that won't last too long either. Most of the people who continue to beat this dead horse of a subject to death have no clue as to who this person is/was and really don't care no matter what they say.

Like Nervous said, there's a mute button to avoid dealing with people who you don't want to. So making a blog over the troubles of this person and why they left and all the other nonsense is unnecessary. If you're going to leave sl, then do it and get it over with and that's it. No need to need to make such a big deal celebration over doing so.

If you're here, fine. If you're leaving or you've left, then it's fine too.

There's a saying that says, "The one who left is not important or needed. The one who's arriving is".

Enough about Torrid already!!!!!!!

Then don't read the thread, genius. Don't attack people because they miss their friend.

Why don't you take your own advice then and mute this thread, or simply ignore it if you're so tired of reading things about someone that a lot of people know and like. No one expects you to shed a tear if you don't know this person, but lacing into those who are saddened by the departure of someone in second life is silly. You're being silly.
