Some of you might remember my thread a few weeks ago bemoaning the general dearth of events other than Tringo. Well, in case you hadn't noticed, it's getting worse - a lot worse.
Between 12pm and 4pm SL time, there are currently 21 events scheduled. Out of those, 16 are Tringo or "Slingo", which I assume to be a Tringo ripoff. One of the events, scheduled at 12pm, simply reads "tingo @ south i" with the description "come win this money"! Lack of imagination is starting to kill SL. If you're against this, the group Tringo Protest League is open for joining. We're going to meet regularly to bemoan the lack of events other than Tringo, and try to develop our own.  |

I'm working on a game called meatingo....instead of numbers there are different cuts of meat and you have to bludgeon cows to death too.....bloody but my research team tells me it will be huge.

I'm thinking of introducing a game called BLINGO that involves stacking odd shape prims while Blinded By Bling and Slogged By Lag. I think Lag Slogged Bling Blinded Prim Stacking might be fun.

Why would you protest Tringo... it's not the game's fault. Sounds like Tringo happens to be a very popular game, as bingo was over a year ago. Charlotte, Brook Templar was/is hosting Word Find and Scattergories. Only about 8 people ever show up and the games are great fun. Lars Bismark had a great game going where you actually had to use your head for more than prim hair and again only a few every showed. Have you yourself considered hosting something other than TRINGO? I LOVED the games Brook used to have and made every effort to attend.

Have you yourself considered hosting something other than TRINGO? I LOVED the games Brook used to have and made every effort to attend. But what time are they on? They sound fun - but I live in London, and if the good events are held at 3am British time, I'll regrettably be unable to attend. |

SLingo is way different then tringo...
SLingo is Slots and Bingo mixed, with a devil and angel... Tringo is Tetris and Bingo (which I don't understand, I just call it Tetris on a board)... But true lots and lots of tringo, but a fun game and some extra L for playing not a bad thing..... |

If you skip the bemoaning you will have more time for planning. I tried to have a few non-tringo events. No one showed up. I held a 2 Truths and a Lie event and not a single person came to it. And I held a philosophical discussion that maybe 2 people came to actually discuss the topic. The rest were griefers. So I haven't been to concerned about holding events lately. I've been focusing on building. In time the Tringo crazy will fade. Thats the coolest part about this game. If you don't like something...wait.
