Clearly my sarcasm wasn't obvious.. It's just another lynch mob, Adam. Shepp posted a bunch of unintelligeble and offensive posts and people are all up in arms. But, seriously, that happens all the time on these forums. These lynch mobs happen over and over again, and SL doesn't really do much about it. oh stop being so melodramatic...shepp's been around longer than you and he's been an asshat since day one...he's an alt, and he's been banned before for the same offences. |

Shepp is just a fun-loving American who enjoys giving and taking good roastings. Lately, he has been taking a lot of heat for his good-naturedness and has become a scapegoat in LL's recent "crackdown" for those in (perceived) violation TOS. Careful, JR, you are doing it again - blurring the lines between alts by using the same phrasing, but on the wrong alt. _____________________

What defines him as an 'asshat'? Offensive language? Completely insulting posts full of insulting language and personal attacks? Immature behavior? If these are bannable offensives, then the rules have been applied unevenly. However, if it was something boorish inside of SL, that would be different. _____________________

I was talking to someone from SL today who is somewhat disillusioned with the whole thing; mainly the way people are in SL these days. I told her that her biggest problem was her eternal optimism, which could only end in constant disappointment when people turned out to be asshats. As a pessimist, I expect people to be asshats, am usually proved right and am therefore not disappointed, and just occasionally can be pleasantly surprised by them. So I don't think my way is necessarily the bad way |
