Great thread Sensual!

I voted "I'm a Looker" - Mostly quiet, though occassionally I come out to play "not nice" (as you know).

I'd also have to say that I have a bit of "A Follower" in me, probably mostly because I beleive in sticking with your friends and family.

In SL like to quietly look around. I have a few neighbor friends and a couple friends that I hugely respect and would stand by them through anything, because they are top notch people.

As far as the rest of SL in concerned. I am continually amazed by the efforts and results of so many people's hard work and creative visions. In a place like this, I'm just happy I have the money and time to be a part of it.

First, I would like to apologize to you Sensual for personally attacking you. I realized that was wrong of me and was very troll like. I may not agree of your ways, but that is no reason for me to be so ugly. I am not an ugly person.....I am actually a very kind and caring person. I am also a very quiet person. I have realized many things by looking in the forums to see how ppl are and I do not want to be seen as a troll or a mean and ugly person. I apologize to you and anyone else who feel I have attacked them. :)

Ok now for the actual subject of this thread. I am a looker. I have always been very observant and quiet until recently, and I have decided to stay observant and quiet. It seems to work better for me. ;)

Oh yeah...The Cartel family is a group of good friendly ppl. We would never cause grief to anyone.

Peace & Love :p

Other -- Aloof.

I'm different things at different times when the flow calls for it. Except being a follower -- I've never been a sycophant really. I'm a little too rebellious, anti-authoritarian, and independent.

Otherwise, man. I'm just jovial and sometimes trivial. I'll morph into whatever I need to be to suit a particular problem or situation. :)

One day I was driving down Federal Blvd here in Colorado, there were 2 middle aged men out in the freezing cold, with thier signs, asking for money and "will work for food"... I knew that giving them money wouldn't do much good since they more than likely would spend it on smokes and beer..

How do you know that Sensual? Although I disagree with a lot of what you say on the forums, I've tried very hard not to judge you based on the overall forum community's coloring of you. Do you think you could extend that courtesy to RL people in situations such as this?

Believe it or not, homeless people have individual free-will, and not all of them are out to get you for beer money.

And, If I had to deal with attitudes like the one you expressed in addition to being destitute, I would probably drink and smoke a lot more than I do now. :(

I didn't know that , which is why I said "MOST LIKELY"... Growing up in Colorado, Denver to be exact, you see alot of things, you see people outside of liqour stores asking for money.. you see people outside of corner stores asking for money, and when you give it to them they walk right into the store and buy a pack of ciggarettes. It was my choice to help them, and also my choice to make sure that I wasn't paying into a habit that they may/may not have.
This thread was meant to give others an idea of who we are, that we aren't just someone disagreeing or someone you chose to dislike, we all have personalities that others are not aware of. I am sorry that no matter what I type, you continue to judge me, as I stated before, you can not please everyone.

I voted Leader, but there's also quite a bit of Looker in there.

My opinions will change as my knowledge of something does, or as a situation changes, but they aren't swayed by the opinions of others. I don't expect others to always agree with me, and it doesn't bother me when they don't, and I don't take it personally. I can be (seen as) judgemental and very opinionated, and I realize that's a flaw, but one I'm willing to live with if it means standing my ground and standing up for what I believe in.

Sensual, I was drawing an analogy specifically geared towards how I was not judging you on the forums. At the same time however, I will gladly risk judging you by speaking out against a viewpoint that you *chose* to make public, which I happen to find extremely offensive.

Phrasing things in a fashion such as {most likely + group + negative behavior} is exactly the type of cultural mob mentality that I see you constantly fighting against on the forums. I kinda respected that up until you marginalized a whole subset of society.

It depends what the issue is, and how important it is really. When it comes to certain things my my mind is pretty made up.. things like morals, politics, etc. I don't tend to discuss those things with other people much, because to do so is just looking for drama, and most people, like me, won't be swayed anyway.

When it comes to petty less important things, I am pretty open minded. Whether I listen or not depends on how I am approached. When being approached by someone who is aggresive or seems to like arguing just for the love of arguing, they get tuned out by me. Some people just love to argue.

Hm. I'll say "Other" but what I really mean is "All of the above" and more. I like to explore diversity and play many roles. Sometimes I am the student, other times I am the teacher. Occasionally controlled, othertimes crazy. I like getting into the heat of the action -- but not always. I also like to watch. And so on, and soforth. I just embrace contradictions, have fun, and enjoy life. Including Second Life. :D

I voted looker, but I'm more of a lurker. I'm content to let things happen and go along for the ride. For example, check out my post count.

I think I can be all of the above sometimes, but mostly, I'm a looker. I fade into the background most of the time without being noticed, and just observe. I'll peek my head out and make my presence known from time to time, but mostly I'm pretty quiet (except when I'm around people I'm *very* comfortable with).

Other.

I'm something of a cross between looker and leader but...

I'm frequently too single minded or just absent minded to really qualify as a looker. I'm not outspoken enough to be a true leader because I tend to take both sides of the argument to a conclusion in my head and then act as if I've already won or already lost the argument (if I lose it doesn't mean I think I'm wrong, just that I can't successfully argue the point :) ). I'm also never 100% sure of anything, which you at least have to seem to be if you want to lead people. I am manipulative but rarely toward any large scale goal, so I may try to lead but mostly it's just a mental excersize.

oooh! I love these things! it's like, if there's nobody around to see you... are you still you!? ;) IE, can you be a leader even if you are not currently leading.

Great point, exactly what I was thinking!

As for what I voted for: Looker.
It seems to fit me best. To put it simply, I tend to view situations and think about them on my own. If I come up with a conclusion or opinion, I chose not to blurt it out unless exclusively asked to. On most occasions, keep in mind. :) How often do people ask me for an opinion? Almost never, so I am just quiet. I just do not need to be validated or judged by others to be meaningful to myself.
