Much less, and the only time I had the tv on was for the debates - so I could make sarcastic comments in-world about it, of course :)

Significantly less time. We have to actually schedule a "movie night" to watch the NetFlix DVDs that pile up each week.

No real change. There's not much worth watching. I watch the Daily Show with John Stewart, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Penn and Teller's Bullshit. My ReplayTV is one of the best purchases I ever made.

Same amount, but that was very little as I work in T.V.

Siggy.

Yes, my poor Tivo is overflowing and deleting Melrose Place reruns from SoapNet. It is quite depressing :)

No I just pass less attention because the TV is on in the background sometimes...

Yes, but I never watched much TV in the first place. Although, I am now hooked on the 3rd season of Surreal Life. The Flavor Flav and Brigitte Nielsen thing is hillarious.

SL really has not changed my tv viewing. I hardly ever watch TV except on Sunday. Bears games during football season, and HBO Sunday nights (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, etc.).

But, it has totally killed any other gaming. Example, I bought Doom 3 a couple of days before I found out about SL. Since I started SL, I have not touched it again. Same with Day of Defeat.

My time spent watching TV dwindled long before SL.

i have NEVER owned a TV.

Just watch it at some friends' homes, once in a while. I remember those dotty colored screens. Funny :)

I hardly watch television shows anyway. A few shows like Dead Like Me, Joan of Arcadia, and The Apprentice 2 (altho I'm getting tired of it 'cuz there's not enough Donald...).

I do know SL is keeping me up wayyy past what should be an "irregularly regular bedtime". ;)

Less TV. I'm missing the shows I used to follow like the Apprentice or MAD TV reruns. Sometimes I turn it on just to have something up besides my computer. But I don't look at it. :p

I think I watch more tv because of SL. Before SL, I played a standard MMORPG which basically takes up all your attention. Playing SL, I can kick back and watch TV while logged in and not worry about getting my group killed.

Way, way less, but SL only plays a little role in that, given that I've been watching less TV since I've have internet at home. I don't even have TV where I live now (only a TV set + DVD player, which is all we need: only the movise we want to see, no more stupid shows! whee!).

Well, I suppose I can say at least that SL definitely takes up on the time I could be spending in front of TV if I hadn't anything else to do?

I dont watch TV at all. I have never been much of a TV watcher... I've always had computers and consoles, also books, board games, etc...
I go to the movies though. I watch the odd documentary at my gf's place, and since I visit my grandmother every sunday I am forced to watch some TV there ;)
TV is all about outdated content. I go to the movies, so there's precious little the TV can offer me. TV is free, and you certainly get what you pay for ;)

Like many people already said, I never watched mucht TV in the first place, and now I hardly watch any. Actually my TV broke some time ago and I'm in no hurry to fix it.

I have a TV right next to my desk and I usually have it on. All I watch is Red Sox and Football really tho. I watch the HBO sunday shows but those are over now and until Carnivale comes back in January I mainly just use the TV for backround noise.

My TV viewing has dwindled over the last 6 years since I started playing my first multi-player online game, Air Warrior. I moved on to Aces High and recently discovered SL as well. I have enough trouble juggling my time between SL and AH, without watching TV too. It is often on in the background though, and sometimes I do half-listen to it, especially to soaps like Coronation St and Eastenders which I have been following for years. I never was one for watching TV exclusively though - even before online games I would usually be doing something at the same time, like knitting or cross-stitch. :)
