Mom,
I have been trying for the last two days to make the jump with no success. My portal here in Seattle is not functioning and I don't know when for sure I will be able to get back. Linden Lab is working on the problem. Hopefully I can crossover by Tuesday at the latest. I've gotten so used to traveling between these two worlds with no problem. It really hits home how cutoff one is when something like this happens. Don't worry. I'm sure I'll see you soon.
Please look in on Grandma Thetan for me until I get back. I was running some errands and had to pick up some equipment in Seattle for her when this happened. Let her know that I should be back soon. If she's not at home she may be doing research in the cave that Champie and I discovered in the forest. It's just west of her house in Rodeo across the grid border in Stinson.
I'll check back here soon. I know you look at this thread every now and then. Tell Dad I found the sandpaper he likes. Maybe now he can finish those dining room chairs he's been working on for you.
Love,
Sal

From: Huns Valen I found what appears to be a very old parchment buried deep under Kazenojin Mountain in Gray. It was a bit rough around the edges and torn into two pieces, but I scanned it in and cleaned it up. The name was badly damaged, but I believe it reads Ibal lal-Arou'sah. Oh, and Valdora... If I recall, a Nomadalier is parked on the upper deck at Kazenojin Station. Hey Huns! I just noticed this message you posted. I showed the artifact that you gave to me to Mom a while back and she said it reminded her of some of the exhibits that used to be in the museum in Nova Albion, before The Erase. I was wondering if the artifact you gave me was a copy or not. It did seem pretty new at the time. I'm glad you cleaned it up. I still need to finish translating it. I'll try to do that as soon as I can get back to the lookout. I'd be really interested in seeing the original artifact to see if it can provide any addtional clues. Do you have it on display somewhere? Thanks! Salazar Jack

Incredible Reading Valdora,
I too come from an Ancient land where I fought the three prim evils of the place called the five lands of blizzard North. I was born into a group of a mear 100 souls given the task of trying to stop the 3 prim evils from consuming our lands. For 5 years fold I battled these great nemesis at first with simple tools and crude weaponry. As our numbers grew we formed Clans, And life long bonds were forged into fierce tribal units. I was to grow into the Leader of the ruling Clan of LOCK (legion of Clan Killers) with the humble task of mentoring the fledgling clans growth. We grew in knowledge and spirit at alarming rates. Soon even I and the ruling Clan of LOCK were unable to keep the growing clans focused on our destiny , they began to raid and pillage the local towns and kill any and all who apposed them.
And then one day we too saw the great light, that day burned the sight from these eyes as nothing I had known in the inter world. Many ran to the deep caves of the closed realms and could not adapt and perished soon after. Some as I, tried to shield our selves from the great light thinking no harm could befall the children of Beta, but alas no soul was spared . My soul wandered for 12 moons parsing until my journey took me to the calm shores of a place called Alphaville.
From that day forward my body has returned mass and my soul bonds with another, For 3 years now we travel as one though vast new universes . For the past 12 moons we hold up in the lush Greenland of Sakai taking on new names of local Clans where we are happily living out our lives until that day when lands and rivers no longer divide us and our bodies and souls will walk together in the Real world.
No other universe comes close to these Linden Lands we now call home, and we have visited many.

Love,
Sal Thank you for checking in, Salazar. Adam and I just got back to the brownstone about an hour ago and have just now turned off our GINI's. I had no idea that the Lindens were experiencing such problems. Your father and I have been "off-the-grid" so to speak for about the last 24 hours as we've been exploring some of the new continent region borders at the northwest sides of Juanita, Vine and Obscure. Sometimes when conditions are just right, we have found it possible to cross over into uncharted regions before the Lindens have opened them up to the public. It's easier to do when the Lindens don't know you're there. Grandma Thetan's device has been very helpful in getting around some of those obstacles--one press of a button and your green dot disappears from The Grid. All this to say, I didn't realize you were offworld. The downside of using the GINI is that you have no access to your calling cards. I wish you would remember to use your's more, it would be much easier to stay in touch. I have spoken with a few people this evening at the cafe who had just made the crossover, albeit with much difficulty, and they have assured me that you should be able to get here soon. Just keep trying. Adam and I will run over to the forest and check on Grandma Thetan--and this cave you mention. I hope whatever we find there answers some questions and is not a dead end. Oh! And your father wants to know when Home Depot will open a store here? I told him he may have to wait awhile. Talk to you soon, Mom
