Congratulatins Kermit! I'd have gotten a percentage deal though. Low five figures isn't a great deal if Donnerwood ends up making a mint from it. I'd want to make sure I had an ongoing piece of the pie. Either way, that's very very cool, and completely validates why being able to retain our IP is so important. Rock on.

That's so damn cool! Congratulations to Kermit! That really is very exciting news for in-world creators/scriptors/game designers.

Just in case anybody missed that. Congrats Kermit! :)

Good on you dude, that is pretty wild. Now if my co-workers are hooked on it, I know who to blame! heh.

Interesting - makes you wonder what the long-term interest this will generate among developers/inventors that don't know about Secondlife yet.

Damn, I'm gonna have to finally break down and try Tringo, aren't I? *sigh*

A big congrats to Kermit, and kudos to everybody working in-world to make SL an interesting place.

GOOD MAN, GOOD STUFF -- congratz to Nathan aka Kermitt! :D

Some time back, Kermitt was gracious enough to answer some of my curiosities pertaining to the origins of Tringo, so if you're curious, check out his informative answer here:

It doesn't surprise me that Bel would start this topic, her being an avid Tringo champion and all... :)

And now we'll be seeing it on the go!

Making thousands of dollars of some random game he probably thought up while on the toilet. Damn, I am envious.

Low five? That's about 10-20K?

Anyways, congratulations Kermit.

Great to see a huge SL mention in the WSJ as well.

Thank you, thank you. :)

...and for my next trick I shall turn this small piece of pocket lint into a popular TV game show.

Oh, one other thing. Forgive me for being picky but Kermitt actually has two t's. :D

I'm looking forward to that trick! A sequel better than the original!?!? ;)

And nah, not picky at all -- it's your name on here, might as well have it spelled right.

I would sort of regret selling full rights for a low figure when the game could potentially become extremely popular and make millions. Though still good money for something you came up with in a game :)

FYI... The WSJ article didn't really tell the whole story. There is a royalty built into the deal.
