This game is starting to sound more and more worth it, just for the eye candy. And I don't just mean poorly done renderings of breasts.

In other gaming news I see Amazon has the release date of Half Life II as being December 31, 1969. I assume this is because the real release date is in 2038 and it rolled over.

Hah! Her hair looks like a wire brush. On top of that, you can STILL see nipples, especially when she turns to the side near the end of the movie.

Farcry's AI isn't very good, but then it doesn't have to be very good when your in the jungle and can't see 2 feet in front of you because of bushes and all of a sudden there is a mutant monkey about to teach you the meaning of christmas.

Painkiller is much more quake then half-life, but I have to admit, after those monkeys kill me 200 times, I enjoy killing lots and lots of zombies. LOTS of zombies. And waiting for them to get really really close to my shotgun. Ragdoll has a certain apeal to it.

And now that the nv40s are coming, they can finally release HL2, so I can play in full graphical glory.

Oh yeah, and I hear that the unreal team has been having a lot of fun playing with pixelshaders 3.0

If anyone's playing painkiller still...

I'm at the military base, and I'm stuck in the missile silo... I can't go anywhere? Why? :P

I got stuck there for awhile too, but eventually found another ladder on the silo wall (the inner one from where you are) that leads up. Easy to miss.

I finished it yesterday. The final map is really cool. Overall it's just some mindless shooting of huge monster-hordes, but it's the best-looking mindless shooting I've played in a while.

I especially liked the drunk sailors with the puke-attack in the docks ;)

Quite smooth too, except for the monastery, where 20 monks with a torch each gave my 5950 a hard time.
