Sounds like David will be having his 'head examined' and receive injections at the same time.

Just don't go to paramedic school...
You have more skills then a nurse, more diplomacy then any doctor (try talking down a 300 pound dude on meth!), and less pay then a fast food manager...
The up side is- you get to drive really really fast through traffic!!! he he he!
- you get paid for sleeping (once in a while)
- you have access to really cool drugs and equipment
- you only work every third day!
- most kids want to be like you when they see your ambulance scream by!

Hank I know it is very hard hard to get any kind of meaningful reply in this forum to a serious question but I will give it my best shot. Yes I am in the medical field but not in one you would ever confess you partook of I'll try to move right along.... Medical school is a grind where you won't get much sleep and be expected to hop to it at everyones command and when you graduate things will not be any better for a long while. Despite what they say you will be lucky to make enough money to pay off your school loans until maybe 10 years after graduating. If a person wants to be a physician because of the money they will be well paid eventually but going into law or something like that will get you more money faster. If you want to help people then medicine is a nice field unless you really want to go for it and get your MSW

If you want to help people then medicine is a nice field unless you really want to go for it and get your MSW Thanks Susie! Yes, I do realize it's not about the money. While I do expect to make more than at the local Mc Donalds, I do realize that it's not a lot of money and a lot of hard work (yes, I've read a lot of the horror stories and I believe them 100%) needed to even get to that point. It's something I've always wanted to persue, and for one reason or another I haven't had the chance until now. Many PreMed groups at universities don't take too kindly to "olbies" who are looking for advice, so I am on my own to find out as much information as possible. Even in SL
