Got an event you're going to, or other plans you'd like to share, or Sims you plan on being in?

Please post your Excellent! Stress Test happenings here...

I'm planning on losing a ton of inventory and crashing several times. And perhaps eating sushi.

I am planning to try out my new 'duck and cover' anim, circa 1956.

If the whole thing blows over like Y2K, maybe I'll go dancing.

If not, and the whole thing goes to heck in a handbasket, I suppose I will be left with cockroaches, Cher, Dick Clark, and Paris Hilton. (ewwww, Paris Hilton) :D

We are hosting live music in Clyde by Frogg again tonight. Nice quiet spot underground where hopefully we will all be able to make it through the 2 hour test.

Well, doubt I'll be able to participate after all, as ever since the patch, I cannot remain connected more than about 5 - 10 minutes at a time (if that). I'll try of course... but since they're requiring 30 minutes connect time, I reckon I'm screwing the pooch on this one. :(

Just keep trying to get back in Cienna. The 30 minutes is not continuous, it is total. They changed it. :)

From: Tess Linden

Thank you for pointing this out. We have revised the Official Rules to reflect the qualifications for entry into the sweepstakes from 30 minutes continuous to 30 minutes total. So, if you've logged in for 25 minutes and relog, you can continue counting from 25 minutes onward instead of starting over. We will calculate the qualifications based on the total log-in time between 7pm and 9pm PST.

I figured with the Lindens busy and the grid packed, it would be a great time to go through my entire key list and send them all notecards about my fabulous new virtual penis enhancement product!

;-)

Does anyone REALLY believe that 5,000 people will sign on during the two hour time frame? I mean if the most we have ever had on at one time was around 2,300 give or take and with most of Europe asleep during the Log-A-Thon, isn't a bit of a stretch to think we can double that?

I belive the prizes and attention give it a shot. As long as it gets pushed bayond what it ever has before, that'll have to do.

This is an unabashed plug for you to visit the last day of Americana Redux 2005 at some time during your Log-A-Thon time.

We will start dismantleing it tomorrow (Monday August 1st),

Pop over to the FairChang Project which is just south of the Sandboxes on your map.

Europe is awake but aggreved. Everybody is far too addicted to miss the chance of a lifetime account.

Funny all my Euro friends are online, like they normally are. Some people are nocturnal, don't stereotype.

All my working European friends missed the event. Like who is gonna be up and log on to SL for an event starting at 4 AM and be at work at 9 AM.

Don't know why it could not have been done at say 10 AM SL time. Everyone would have been able to attend.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!
