Some kind of neg rating record?

I saw someone in the welcome area who has given 190 neg ratings. Is that a record? It's the most I've seen. In her profile she describes herself as just an average everyday woman with a gun.

I believe Darko still holds the record for the most Negs received - 335ish if I remember.

He lobbied and beg for that record...

It takes very little to get a neg rate from it, I even earned a triple neg from it. It doesnt bother me and I refuse to rate it back because it wants the attention. But since I got a triple neg from it, it gives me license to be rude to it if I so desire. Afterall, it thinks I deserve the triple neg, so I might as well remind it why it negged me from time to time, or something. :rolleyes:

The one thing that does bother me about it is that it neg rates newbies for little or no reason. A neg rate doesnt mean that much in the big picture, but to a newbie, it can really damage morale and is not a friendly welcome to the Welcome Area. I would like to see it banned from the welcome area for that reason, but such is the way of the ratings system. *shrugs*

Maybe a new concept could be to make the Welcome Area a "No Rating Zone".

If it is who I'm thinking of, she hides while she rates so you can't return it. I lost my neg rate virginity to her and was hoping to return the favor. Not out of revenge, but since I got stupid answers to "did I offend you"?

I agree! The welcome area should be a "no rating zone". Even better, don't allow trial and basic accounts to give or receive rates at all. Or don't allow avs under 30 days (or some other limit) to give or receive rates.

OK I would LOVE to know who this She/IT is. :)

But besides that, Buster's ideas are super! Well except don't restrict someone JUST 'cuz they are Basic IMO.

Are a lot of them alts or something?

I'm glad they let me participate in the ratings system. I LOVE that they let me participate in everything, except owning land. And other players have made it possible for me to "own" plenty of land! :)

Well... technically, I wasn't asking for sex.. at least that's what I learned from Clinton. When I used the short form in my "request", she thought I meant Black Jack. Not sure if the request or the suggested use of the cigar that made her do it...

From what I understand one of Angel Leviathan's many many many alts she uses to neg rate people, look on all of these alts and you'll find about 190 neg rates given.

Really ratings don't mean a damn thing to me anymore, neg rate me all you want, you'd be wasting 25L$ on each one not me. And they go away in 6 months. I don't rate and I don't care about rates I get lol, really if you think neg rating people actually means anything anymore (it didnt really even mean much back then either come to think of it) you probably need a reality check :P

I got negged a few weeks back, but I didn't notice it till later. The funny thing is, when someone takes the trouble to rate me I'll send them a thank you note. So when the neg came, I probably had my hands full, didn't notice the "negitive" detail, and sent the neg rater an IM like "Thanks, So-and-so! :) That was kind of you..."

:O My neg rates on you must have expired!! Hold still Flip... :D Turns out i have 1 neg rate in all three categories :confused: No idea who hit me with that.

But do rates (pos OR neg) DO anything anymore? I thought they were deprecated! I haven't paid attention to them since the Lindens made the rate changes. Are they still relevant?
