Hmmm...maybe I spoke too soon. ;)

If you do decide to make Second Life merchandise for sale, on a web site for example, please let me know. I'd love to see it.

If the merchandise you want to make is for your own designs and creations, such as the Bhodi Tree Artists Gallery coffee mugs, then all I ask is that you use the logo art and TM as I requested, if you're referencing SL.

If you're advertising the StampShady Grimm airplane design on a coffee mug, then that's your business. If you put the SL logo on that's known as co-branding, so I'd like to know, and I'll be grateful for the free advertising, as long as you use my logo art and acknowledge my trademark.

If you're selling something that is advertising Second Life, then we need to talk because I need to make sure that you're not saying something about SL that is inconsistent or incorrect.

If you want to make yourself a t-shirt with your av picture on it for your own use (no money involved), and decide to put the SL logo on it, then please use our logo art and acknowledge my trademark.

Make sure any coffee cups are big 16oz with real handles that all of my fingers will fit in.

I ruined my beta T-Shirt :( I would love to settle for a regular shirt with the SL hand logo on front.

So you're saying we can't say something like "9 out of 10 dentists prefer Second Life'?

I'd buy a t-shirt if LL was selling them :)

What about making action figures out of our avatars? That'd be cool :D I'd want mine to have Kung Fu Chop Action!

Anyone know of any merchendise places other than cafepress?

My Mom owns a promotional materials company so I have access to lots of information on the subject. Costs will be based on T Shirt quality & color. Design (printing) costs will depend on how many color process you decide on. A major factor in dealing with a company like hers though is quantity based. If you want 25 shirts your cost per shirt is going to be higher. Printers often charge more for small runs and your screen charges (for artwork) will not dilute. If you cannot provide camera ready art then you will also pay the fees of an artist to get it camera ready.

If you want 1-25 shirts you may be better off with someone like Cafe Express. You wont have inventory to deal with or be stuck with product that doesnt sell.

If you want 100-1000 shirts, find a reputable company and find out what they offer.

On a personal note, dont settle for a sub par tee. They money you save wont be worth the customer (dis)satisfaction. Personally I would go for no less that a Hanes Beefy T.

I would rather pay for quality shirt. Misnomer is right, Beefy T's are a good pick.

Your Trademark? You make it sound like your planning a hostile takeover from Phillip..

Something going on we should know about?

Probably won't happen until early next year, though.

wow if you could buy SL 'stuff' for $L, even jus as part of special events or things that would be awesome.. who woudln't want to trade in $5-10k linden bucks for a cool shirt RL, or suitably cheaper stuff (like little 1" window stickers of the hand or somethin for car) for like $1k linden bucks?

it'd actually give some of us who've been bickering about not really having a really useful thing to do with l$ now (especially lifers who aren't gonna make NEARLY enough in-game to ever upgrade free to 8192.

I'd jus give us that little something to work for again really i think. At least it would for me...

I'd love to have a coffee mug with like the SL logo on one side, and on the other i'd say like "Second life official coffee container, because who needs sleep in the first?"

or somethin else silly explaining why i suddenly need 3x the coffee to get goin every morning now ;P

besides it'd be a good way for LL to start makin money again from us cantankerous old lifers who obviously love the game enough to spend some serious RL cash on it
