Downtime - ah hah, an opportunity to eat, rather than starve in front of the keyboard :D

Then it's either open the copy of Myst IV I got for Xmas, or wash the car.

Ahhhh, it's raining, second option dealt with.

What is this 'First Life' thing anyway ? ;)

He He He :eek: First Life where can i buy a copy?

I have had Myst IV since october .. still in pristeen conditions LOL

Hardware Failure and Downtime Thursday AM

(snip!)

We apologize for the login problems and are working to get everything fixed ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

:(

Hang in there Cory! Being a grid monkey can be tough! The only time folks notice their hard work is when something goes wrong. =/

/me sends a quick prayer Cory's way for fatter RAID arrays teamed with loadbalanced redundant servers.

Say it with me "we love MySQL, we love MySQL" . . . we're taking some extra time down to make sure that everything is well tested before we come back up."

Well been waiting for several hours now and it seems that a resolution to the hardware problems is at hand, I hope they don't find too many bugs so I can start working on the NYC sim again with my friend.

It would be easier to forgive the extra three hours if it wasn't the case that every time sl goes down for maintenance or to solve a problem, it seems to be during the day for the people in Europe. This means that if sl does come back at the right (latest) time, it will be 11pm, my time.

And why an extra three hours? If you knew there were likely to be problems, why not be up front about the time it was going to take to fix? :(

I reccomend the Lindens fix all MySQL problems with the following command;

UPDATE Users set Lindens="1000000" where User="Simon Oz";

if the lindens engage in interoffice dating... is that like sleeping with a cousin, since you all have the last name??

Don't mind me :), things like this happen when I can't get into SL. That'll teach ya!

Downtime ... again ....
12-30-2004 12:08
At least the Lindens are being super careful ..... just don't scramble my inventory, Lindens ... I was trying to folderize it and arrange things better, I'd hate to think that everythings all over the place again, when i get back in!!!

To Palomma: Pal, I guess sleep is a good thing!! I'm going to do some chores and read a book I got for Christmas.... (one great thing about a book.... it never crashes).

See you all in-world, later today!
