I would except

1. There is no good reason to move to the US, even to work for LL

2. I already like what I'm doing and enjoy the relationship I have with SL as it is.

Once you start developing and working on something, it changes your perspective on it.

There are a good number of people who have gotten hired from the ranks of SL users. A few I'm friends with, some were big in the forums, I've always been suprised nobody ever figured them out. But it's really funny when they post on the same thread as Linden and as a user.
