Edited - original post removed because it actually was created by Kool Zuma, not Hula to continue harassing the SL community. The post however was about Second Life and the SL community, which is why it was originally posted in General.

And I care because?

If I wanted to be reading SLUniverse's forums, I would be. If I cared about There, I'd be... There.

Then why the fuck are you even reading it, or replying, other than to be the obnoxious troll you always are?

I never asked you to care, or to even read it - the subject line was clear and yet you still read it, so it is your own damn fault. I could care less what you think.

Cris, it doesn't really surprise me that Hula would post this. I've never been able to figure out how she kept her job with There this long, to tell you the truth, especially since people have been fired left and right from There, or Forterra, or whatever they are calling themselves these days.

Beryl,

The weird part is we were close friends in There, in fact she is the one who recommended me for the original MAB (which was odd at the time since I had not played There in months when I was nominated). I met her originally when she was just a normal There player when Taeja dragged me to some fetish party or something because we were bored and it was the only non-G rated thing we had seen in There up to that point, and she was the one throwing it for her club (she was Domina something, I can't remember her BDSM-esque name). She definitely did become weirder once she got the job with them, I guess I just didn't realize how weird. The post actually amused me, though it sad to be reminded how flaky and fleeting online friendships are, especially over something as silly as an imaginary rivalry between two online worlds.

You make some of the most non-constructive posts that are simple criticisms more akin to the random firing of synapses than any other person in these forums (well except for Zoey:p). I really have avoided ever responding to you because you only seem to have these terse, rude replies, but your post in this thread was really useless - more useless than this one here I'm posting for sure.

"And I care because" is your titled thread... No one asked if you cared, if you weren't so opinionated and egocentric you wouldn't be asking such an innane question in the first place or being so presumptuous to think such a thing. Cristiano never suggested that "you" cared, nor was the post directed at "Moleculor Satyr", you hardly represent the community in your rarely constructive posts so why not just keep nonsense like that to yourself.

Cris, I found that post very interesting. I really wonder what sort of SL experience she has had. I know that I have always been very inviting to THERE immigrants, especially with Aqua Galleria, the Galleria Sims, and my SL Resident Housing Program. I also havent ever been around a group of InWorld THERE Bashers.

Her post sounds really heart felt but hardly like she gave SL any real time, especially when she says "Forterra is adding most of the things SL has", but yet they don't need.

Thanks for the post Cristiano.

The religious undertones in this person's message are frightening.
It's just a boring chat room, what's to love? Have these people ever had a RL social life? Is socializing such a new and thoroughly enjoyable experience for them?
Sheesh. Some people need to be hit with the Mighty ClueBat of Doom (Glowing) (+3 to-hit).

Looks like a fake post to make someone look like an idiot to me. If thats supposed to be a customer service person or an empoyee of There (tm), I'd be really suprised, I mean it seems they went out of There (tm) way to look idiotic.

Actually the speech is consistent with her - the content is just surprising.

Her post is totally bizarre. Just saying the above makes me question the mental health of some of these There people. Have they all been indocrinated or hypnotised? and for her to be an employee of There just leaves me speechless. Perhaps There is a new cult religion?

I am sory Cristiano, from what i read you are an ex player of There, as are others here. I don't mean to criticise it but we had that other guy from There causing havoc and threatening to commit suicide. I know eventually he admitted he did it for a squillion There money but really, can you imagine a resident from SL going to the There forums and behaving as these two people have done.

I took out trial membership of both - after one day i gave up There - it just didn't offer me what I wanted. I now I see these crazy posts, and its obvious I made the right decision.

Latonia,

I was an early beta tester for There. Second Life was not what it is now at the time, and There was pretty compelling initially, coming from The Sims Online. I played for a few months, but quickly became bored with it and moved on to Second Life as SL improved and There was ruined by some bad decisions the company made. My experience in There was not bad, and I made a lot of very good friends which I brought with me to SL in droves :) The original group of beta players in There were far different from what followed, which were mostly immature, illiterate freaks who thankfully have had no interest in Second Life. The really talented and interesting people from There have also for the most part moved onto Second Life. There had a certain appeal, but only if you like very static, controlled content. It has a good first impression, but no depth. The saddest part in that post is I actually liked her - you are right, it seems she has been kidnapped by a cult or something, it is rather odd.

I really don't think the real Hula wrote that. It looks like an impersonation. Hula generally uses a lot of Hawaiian words, and her grammar is usually better than that...to me, it looks like "Kool Zuma" trying really hard to sound good...

My advice...e-mail the real Hula, find out if that was really her.

Hey Cris :)

I didn't know you and Hula were friends. She always seemed a bit off in the head to me, as do most people that are so fanatical about their online worlds (except that roommate I had in TSO who was convinced she was channeling Will Wright... *evil grin*)

Anyhow, I think most of There and it's inhabitants are just too weird for my taste (bad, mental health challenged weird), and I've gotten some strange e-mails myself that I don't respond to because I don't even know where to begin. That Kool person threatening to kill himself over his *sun*... that was just scary ... sad scary even if he says it was a joke.

Let's just hope their *sun* doesn't shut down and they all go jump off a cliff or something.

"Its just not normal to like SL over There."

That sentence really struck me as a "wtf" moment. Honestly I'd have to agree with Eggy, most of the times. But being someone who has never had a true RL social life, I'll have to say maybe she's just off her rocker with that statement. :P

I tried There out before release for a few days. It was kind of neat. There and SL have their markets. There's easy to get into(I think anyway), and SL is great for custo-freaks. This reminds me of MMORPG discrimination. You know the deal, Gamer A plays MMORPG A and crticizes Gamer B for playing MMORPG B.

Either way, I think I finally have proof I'm not "normal". :D

You know the more I think about it, the more it does seem really just out there. As I no longer have a There account, if someone would be so kind that does as to find out if that is actually Hula, I would appreciate it.

Edit - please don't email Hula - I have found out who it actually is.

*hey Hula, did you send Cris that whacked out e-mail?*

Never mind - mystery solved. It appears it is not Hula at all, but the illustrious Kool Zuma/jb333. He was not even creative enough to use Hula's email address at registration, but instead used his own. I am going to pull the thread completely and I ip banned him from my forums.

LOL Go figure. So Kool's "dork factor" just shot up 50 points? :P

I really wanted to like There, but my experience was pretty bad There. I got in world and tried to talk to a few people, but was basically ignored. I had a default newbie look and I got the impression that I was second class and not worth talking to. So I wandered off. I walked for a long time, eventually up a mountain and saw some tiki huts. I explored around there but there was not a lot to see. I then found a race track like place and got run over repeatedly by two different dune buggies. I was running for my life! Anyone that I saw and tried to talk too would put on goggles and ignore me. I really felt unwelcomed and alone.

I think SL folks are very accepting of people from There, or anywhere else really, the bottom line is that we are all in SL now. I try to welcome and offer help to everyone I meet, I dont really care where they came from, Im just happy to see them. I know who you meet at first makes a difference on how you percieve the world, I met the wrong people in There and never went back. I think people in There are intimidated by SL for some reason and see it as a threat somehow, I hate to stereotype though.
