Upward spiral or downward spiral?

Sort of an inverse inside-out spiral.

People ask me in world what a Kibologist is.

A kibologist is someone who makes fun of people who write stuff like the Timecube theory and believe it.

We've known about this guy for a while.

besides the poorly written html (I mean, who needs readable normal sized black text when you can have bold, colored text in 24+ points all centered down the page!), the theory is somewhat silly.

This is a cannonical example of an "internet kook".

Darwin,

In response to your posting some time back, if you want to see the amazing products of schizophrenia you can't do better than to look at schizophrenic art. The most prominent schizophrenic artist (apart, arguably, from van Gogh) was Louis Wain, an Edwardian illustrator who used to specialise in anthropomorphic cats who played tennis, had tea parties, went to school, etc. Most of his output was extremely twee, but as he began to succumb to schizophrenia, his cats became slightly sinister, very patterned and colourful. Chip's description of having taken LSD and never come back is very apposite.

If you do a search on Louis Wain, you will come across many pictures, and some of them will be the schizophrenic ones. Some of the ones painted during the height of his illness are no longer recognisable as cats - the pattern has completely overtaken the subject and all that is left is a brightly coloured mosaic. The odd thing is that his schizophrenic pictures are so much better than the others!

Didn't know about Wain so I did a google on him. Here's a link showing paintings from before and after the schizophrenia took over.

Well I've decided that this guy is definately up for a homage in SL...

Come and see the "Shrine to the Time Cube of Creation" in Blue (180, 189). Everything all the beleivers and non-beleivers must see...

The something aweful page is a 'pagerank cheat'. It is designed with the sole purpose of increasing page ranking on google. It isn't quite as bad as some I have seen, however I have no doubt it was copied in principle from the cube site, mocked and turned into a pagerank cheat page.

As for the time cube page ... I would wager a 50/50 chance to it being a sane person with an active imagination having some fun in a webpage to actually being someone with a mental disorder.

Here's a thought......

Note that I do NOT actually believe this to have occurred, but it's an interesting possibility.... call it a thought experiment....

The guy is completely right on the basic idea/concept.... and it's a concept that's so fundamentally profound about spacetime.... that it's driven him completely insane.

I have known a lot of schizophrenics from my support group in the VA. I am familiar with the way they talk, and obsess on words and concepts. If this guy is NOT schizo, he does an excellent impersonation.

Oh, this guy is quite serious.

Hmmm, this is close to a Friend of a Friend rumor, but I trust my friend. :-)

My friand says he was friends with the guy who installed timecubes cable modem at the time. He said his walls are covered in the stuff, and he rambled on about it the whole time. I remember looking over the site years ago.

Crazy stuff out there.
