No Email

I received the allotment email (though it included my Lindenworld plot which I was not including in my own calculations) but I never received the announcement email. I've checked all my filtered junk, too.

Another thing Phillip said last night:

Lindenworld plots DO count against your land allowance.

I haven't recieved a land allotment e-mail, and I should be over my basic allotment by 400 m or so.

Was the email address from which the 1.2 changes email came, as have all of the Second Opinion and other updates/changes emails have come.

They outsource, perhaps the address has been declared junk by your preferred mail reading application/system.

My email came to me, and the only option I can remember setting in a long time is "Send IM to Email" in the client prefs. Although I'm sure I told them to email me in my profile on the www.secondlife.com website.

I just got my E-mail about how much I'm over 1024 about 15 mins ago.

I thought *everyone* was getting an email with land/prim details in it?

Now I'm reading that you'll only get an email if you're over?

Never got the land/prim email. My address is correct in my profile.

If you haven't received an email from Linden Lab ever, or in a while, here's a few things that might be wrong:

a) You're using a free webmail provider, and your account is full.

b) Your email provider has installed overly restricting spam filters (for example: some providers filter out _any_ email originating from Level3.com because of percieved lack of response towards spam complaints), so you never hear from us.

c) You have overly restrictive spam filters, and so never hear from us. We generally test our outgoing mails against the newest version of SpamAssassin, and try to make sure that they have a low score (less then 2.0). However, most spam filters are total crap, and tend to have large false positive rates, so there's little we can do.

d) You typoed your email address in your account preferences.

e) You used a throw-away "I never check it" account, and have never checked it.

There are probably more, but those are the ones that come to front of my mind.

If your ISP supports whitelists, and you trust us to not spam you, adding secondlife.com and lindenlab.com to your whitelists is a guaranteed way to get in-game email.

vresp.com is who we outsource our newsletter mailing too; if you aren't getting those, you may want to whitelist them, too.

Hey Colin!

I checked my profile page and it has my current correct email address. I've had that email address for at least 5 months.

Then I realized (luckily) that I hadn't actually cancelled my old email address. it wasn't in there but it was in the auto-spam filter service that it used.

*Me* checking *My* profile wont help if *you guys* dont.

If any of you have changed your email address in the Profile page Colin posted ealier, if you can check old original address.
