Yasmine, i received 2 mass IMs last night from you stating this stuff, and quite frankly it's reactions like yours, along with petitions, and protests that are creating the chaos, not the upcoming changes. I want proof that changes that aren't even in place are actually causing businesses to close. OR perhaps they are happening due to the economies inflation and this choice by LL who can see way more detail about the economy (and quite frankly unless you can provide credentials as to your economics background - I feel LL's knowledge in such matters surpasses your own by a large margin). I will support any Anti-change anti-rally in world tonight. |

I just spent a while flying around to all the stores I have landmarks to, and all were open for business, and customers were happily shopping.
Where are these stores that are closing in some show of pre-emptive solidarity against the man? I can't find them.
If there's an anti-rally-rally tonight, I'll attend. I support the changes. As such, my store will remain open for those customers who don't see the sky falling. (again)

Shadow I get *exactly* what you are saying Shadow. I guess one thing to think about though is.. Look at the chaos and outcrys right now. Due to misunderstandings, not knowing how the changes will affect them, etc. Just imagine if they pulled this all at once. I do believe some people would have literal heart attacks in RL.  So.. my guess is we are seeing a "leading up to" event. A sort of "ease us into it" kind of thing. I know that there will still be many of us fighting to get ratings completly gone. As well as adjustments to event funding (I've always been a supporter of no Linden funding at all, though I don't know where others stand on that). Anyway, I just think they are doing this slowly to ebb as much of the panic as possible. That's my thought at least.

Maybe after LL looses a lil bit of money with NO moving economy, they will reconsider! I would like to hold a rally event this evening @ 6 PM SL TIME all clubs opening their doors to "rally the troops" and pass out signs and T-Shirts that have been kindly donated by Shiryu Musashi and Deja Vu Skye. This Rally Package is avil. please IM myself to get yours or check your local club, or party establishment! Anyone who would like to donate their radio station for this cause please IM ME, as I will need the link to passout to other groups and clubs participating. Yes this is upseting and sad, however, our fun can still continue while making a statement not as indivduals but rather as one family, one group, one community!
