Rally Event Tonight @ 6pm Sl Time Rally The Troops!

MY thoughts,

WE the community of SL have built SL into what is today, with our creativity, imaginations, hopes and dreams, and we can break it.

This is my proposal, we all ban togather as one to fight this battle. Club owners open your clubs for rallying(hold rally events non stop of course making them fun cause hell thats why we are here) Designers and Shop Owners, block your doors so no items can be purchased, Mall Owners blocking your doors as well, so no one can go in or out and purchase items, basically halting the economy, and making LL's lil plan backfire.LL is so obcessed with money, well we are too, lets become stingy, if you need something ask a fellow resident, IM the creator, anything to keep those lindens in your pockets! Maybe after LL looses a lil bit of money with NO moving economy, they will reconsider!

I would like to hold a rally event this evening @ 6 PM SL TIME all clubs opening their doors to "rally the troops" and pass out signs and T-Shirts that have been kindly donated by Shiryu Musashi and Deja Vu Skye. This Rally Package is avil. please IM myself to get yours or check your local club, or party establishment!

Anyone who would like to donate their radio station for this cause please IM ME, as I will need the link to passout to other groups and clubs participating. Yes this is upseting and sad, however, our fun can still continue while making a statement not as indivduals but rather as one family, one group, one community!

Clubs rallying to protest the change is like buggy-whip makers rallying to protest the automobile.

They are in the most danger; their saturated market will collapse because of this.

This isn't a bad thing.

"closing" your shops will just damage your income potential and customer satisfaction. For every store that closes, 30 more will stay open. 10 more will open just for the hell of it.

This has happened before, the hysteria will pass, no one will notice.

Why not some just have some counter protest events that are in support of the changes? I would attend one!

Those that close will LOSE. Merchants, when you shut your doors, you GIVE your business to those vendors that remain open.

When you close your doors, you make those that remain more profitable.

When you close your doors, you give other less-known and less-entrenched sellers the opportunity to steal your market share.

Adapt or Die. Its called Capitalism.

Besides, we all knew there were too many malls and some would have to close, anyway.

LF is v. right. I was there when they tied prims to land (I think 1.2) and that was a HUGE shake up, one that makes this look like nothing at all. I remember at one point all the lifer members were in the welcome area shouting at the Liasons, asking for their lifer account money back...
