There is no privacy in SL -- this is nothing new, and shouldn't be a shocker to you.

If you're doing something that other people shouldn't be watching, you probably shouldn't be doing it in SL at all.

Bah! Plenty of privacy in SL, you just have to pick your spot or keep one eye out if you are in a not-so-remote place.

I often spend hours with no one coming within half a sim of me, either building, chatting or staring at nearby walls.

I'm kind of creepy about using my camera controls... But a lot of the time i'm checking to make sure that people arn't busy, things like that. Also, I get nervous around people and sometimes it takes a while to decide if I'm going to approach them or not...

But stalkery types are creepy

I've done peeping, but purely for mischievous purposes (I like mischief, that's why my avatar is an imp). How anyone can get sexually aroused by this world is beyond me. I think it's funny to hear what people say or even to rez silly things near them. Once, I crashed a private birthday party by climbing through a perfectly mini-person sized mistake in the prim architecture. I changed my skin to a darker texture once I was holed up under the floor and then released various particle scripts and left copyable presents like drinks and boxes of textures for the guests. ] Anything that is mischievous, especially with a sense of irony, is a lot of fun for me. There was a somewhat famous avatar (I've forgotten her name but she looked like a grotesque barbie doll) that used to host a gameshow where she gave away no-copy VW bugs. When I saw newbies come to her events, I'd secretly give them copyable VW's of the exact same model or cash.

I love feeling bad and good at the same time.

One day, coasting about the clouds in my prototype Recon Drone avatar, I happened upon a huge box in the sky. My innocence at this time was complete. I was in a PG sim and my previous experience with sky builds wasn't at all troubling.

Curious as to the contents of this box, I went to work with my camera controls. Having a look around I discovered a bit of a fountain outside as decoration. What was interesting was lurking inside. Within the walls of the remote structure I discovered an absurd variety of BDSM-related gear and furniture. Attached to a rather uncomfortable-looking table was a nude and nicely skinned woman. Beside her a man, his avatar fully functional.

Bear in mind this is a PG sim.

I'm about to begin my descent to ground level (I estimate I was hovering near 450m). Before I can vacate the area, though, I see some chat. The upright male citizen within was speaking through the wall.

Heh. I walked in on a couple people once. It was a mysterious box, quite low to the ground, not even conceivably beyond anybody's draw distance. There were a couple of dots, but for all I knew, they were on the ground. Yeah, that was awkward.

There seems to be a mysterious box theme going on with the horny avs.

Better yet, use a particle RADAR that points to unlisted avs when it finds them. List your friends and your neighbors. Then, when a random person gets within zoom-distance, a stream of particles points to their av while they remain within that radius.

This is actually not the 1st time I have been peeped on while with sowing my Avis oats, but the other time was my nieghbor from my 1st land area asking if I was saving any for him

that was funny, nothing sneaky about it, we werent exactly being quiet about it and were right in front of a huge window, but mr snoop here was CREEPY. We have 1 close neighbor who we know very well and the rest of the sim has only had 7 people on it at most. he musta looked long and hard to find neked avatars in a hot tub before he snuck in on us, especially hidden in a tub on the 3rd floor

Well, i did things in the wrong order and banned all but my girl and myself from our land which shot him out and away, unfortunantly before I could shoot him

so my girl and I talked about it and decided its not really that bad to be spied on, hell Im a pervert, an exhibitionist and a voyuer, but were not entertaining freeks who spy on digital cartoon sex for free either

so now, if u want to watch us in action, feel free, have a seat, hell ill put out an old spatoonie popcorn machine, serve drinks and Ill even IM u when the shows about to start... but its gonna cost ya
