Malls: What make you chose where to shop?

Ultimately, the quality of the merchandise in a mall does depend on the policy of the mall owner. Most mall owners set up rental machines and let anyone who has the cash for rent set up shop, but this is not the only way things are done. Some shopping area owners will only rent to merchants who sell high-quality merchandise; they specifically invite merchants, or they review the wares of those who apply.

I don't like malls that wrap themselves around a telehub; becoming a trap to escape instead of a destination. And when they don't fit ... there was a description in the paper when the Kennedy Center was first built that seems to fit the bill ... "squatting like a toad on the Potomac" ... there are malls in SL that are most definitely /toads/.

I avoid them, and also avoid the merchants with stalls at such places.

On the other hand, there are malls that I enjoy, and frequent. And at which I generally /buy/ something.

Yes this is one of the things that i really hate, even worse when such malls are by themselves an eyesore... It's definately not the best thing to teleport to a location and to find yourself completely encircled by flat walls and products for sale everywhere, also one opf the reason why i chose Anton as my home sim, the nearest telehub is encircled for a long extension by linden land.

None of the above.

I will only shop at a mail that seems likely to have whatever it is I'm looking for. That means a decent product list in the description, and a large enough area that it's likely to have some variety.
