In the TOS - Section 5 (User Conduct), Subsection 5.1 (Participant Conduct):

5.1 Participant Conduct. In addition to abiding at all times by the Community Standards, you agree that you shall not:

(vii) upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation;

I think an inworld type of "Save Toby" campaign would probably fall under that section and not be allowed.

I don't think this part of the TOS prevents anyone from plunking down a donation box and asking people to donate in a non "spammy" way. Like, a box that says "Donate L$1,000,000 by June 30, 2005 or I will tear this build down" kinda thing.

If they sent out a mass IM or posted in a non-classifieds section of the forum, then it would be against TOS.

Just my interpretation
