Lust, prejudice, misogeny (sp?), I don't want to say 'pride' explicitly (because it's often good to feel proud and accomplished) but a self-serving version of it would be ignorant. But none of this compare to hate. Which is why hate is the worst because by hating something you are directly refusing to understand the object of your hatred. When you hate something, you close your mind to the possibilities and instead focus entirely inward on your own poisonous feelings... the hurt this reason for hatred has caused you, the loathing you have for it, and so on. You relinquish your ability to see the truth clearly and relegate to seeing the truth filtered through your own self-serving mind. Ultimately hatred is the direct refusal to see and accept the truth and move on. It is the self-indulgent ignorance that has given us the ideas of revenge, crimes of passion, suicide and so many others. It is our ticket to atrocity. Let's take an extreme example -- A jewish man is imprisoned wrongfully under Nazi-led Germany and sent to a concentration camp with his family. Naturally he would be inclined to 'hate' Nazis, Hitler, and the whole stinkin scenario. And yes, most any decent human being would forgive him for that. But would hate get him anywhere? Would it give him back that lost time in his life or releive the suffering of his family? Would it help him escape the pain in his life or help him to relive it over and over again in his mind? In my understanding, hate would only help this man relive his suffering. Hate will never alleviate him of it. It will never release him from it. It will only taint his life and his ability to live. Maybe push him to his own atrocities... haunt him with terrible nightmares... impregnate him with his own prejudices. Hate is the ultimate ignorance and the greatest challenge of being human. I might even go in so far as to say the greatest punishment for being human. _____________________

I agree with Icon, wonderfully put.
Rather than labeling something as saying I "hate" or "intensely dislike/feel hostility for" I think "do not prefer" or "disagree with". Its more accurate a term for me. _____________________

Most of it was really good... lots of meat flavored potato chips. The ham flavored were especially good. She also sent me some vegemite. One bite was enough for me! I tried for a year to get friends to eat it but no one would, lol. Truly awful awful stuff! _____________________

My deepest apologies Andie, but I don't give HATE the time of day, let alone debate about it. Its not worth the sweat off my bal*s even. However, I still LOVE you though Andie, as well as everyone I ever met in SL so far. Well maybe loving guys is pushing it quite a bit, but I still am in like a lot.
