WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS! |

Anyone know of this?! Actually, that is the formula for about 70% of many US domestic and anime action titles. They always seem to have: The Leader, usually male The Ladies Man, usually second in command The Fat One The Technical One (can also be the fat one, but he's usually smaller than the others) The Token Chick The Almost Omnipotent Commander (either an old guy or a super AI) Does any of this sound familliar? ![]() _____________________

There's one other anime series I've seen, but I can't remember what it was. Grr. Annoying. _____________________

Anime I like alot:
Full Metal Alchemist Genshiken Last Exile Nadia ecret of Blue WaterRanma 1/2 Ah! My Goddess Love Hina FLCL Cowboy Bebop Fruit Baskets Great Teacher Onizuka Sprited Away El Hazard Gankutsuo Rozen Maiden Serial Experiment Lain Wonderful Days Naruto Tokyo Underground Slayers Jin-Roh Shaman King DearS Captain Herlock Girls Bravo My HIME Digi Charat Aishiteruze Baby Pitaten School Rumble You're Under Arrest Excel Saga Angelic Layer bunch of other stuff I can't remember. What I am watching right now short review: Genshiken is an anime about Anime Otaku. Even though only 5 episodes have come out so far it is very apparent that it is a great series. If you ever wanted to know the inner workings of an otaku watch it. (watch through fansub, its not licensed outside of Japan yet.) |

Anyone know of this?! I remember the series. It only lasted one season, but it was a fantastic show. About 6 years ago there were talks about the creation of a spinoff series but that fell threw. However another great show which actually introduced me to anime, was the series "STARBLAZERS". This show had some amazing space battles an I beleave many of the shows these days were influanced by this show an other's like it in one fashion or another. In fact I still have my "Yamato" model-kitbash in a box somewhere. If you have never seen the show, try and find it. It's a great anime classic............. _____________________

Hmm, I still need to see Arislan (sp?). Anyone see that? Not as good as Junni Kokki I've heard, but still.

I'm not gonna take the time to list the many (hundreds?) anime movies and series I've seen. My current fav is Vandread. One of the few titles I actually don't mind the cg scenes. The cast reminds me very much of Martian Successor Nadesico (another of my favs). I would call them insane but I have to reserve that title for Excel Saga and FLCL.

I have to agree with Moleculor on the following:
[QUOTE:Moleculor Satyr] Ghost in the Shell <---- Oh wow. Amazing movie. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex <--- Saw three or four episodes, couldn't stand to watch any more. Horrible bastardization of the movie. .hack//SIGN <--- Decent, but nothing special. Fullmetal Alchemist <---- WOW. This is a good anime. Ending leaves it wide open for a sequel unfortunately, but it's still VERY VERY good.[/QUOTE] My favorite Anime movie is Metropolis hands down. I also recommend the Animatrix short flicks and a movie called Spriggan. .hack is REALLLLLY slow, not much action but interesting idea. Full Metal Alchemist is one of my new faves, very cool. I'm an old fan of Starblazers/Yamato and Battle of the Planets, OLD SCHOOL BAYBEE!!!! and stay FAR FAR away from the Robotech series they are HORRID! Arti _____________________
