Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind)

Anything else from Studio Ghibli :D

Hmm, is that a he or a she?

The uniform he/she wears looks like one of the dresses Sailor Moon would wear.

OK, I've never seen that show, but I recognized the character and know someone who did watch it, so... I cheated!!!! :p

Oooh! How is the new BGC stuff, anyway? I've only ever watched the original Bubblegum Crisis series (never, EVER watch that dubbed, btw... it makes even other dubbed anime watchable in comparison). :)

OH MY GOD IT BURRRRNSSS!!!

Hehe, I despise Evangelion. Too much whiny useless 14-year-old angst. Shinji needs to die horribly painfully in a big messy puddle of gore. :) Other than the characters, though, the show is kinda neat. The battle scenes are spectacular. And I too loved that music video. ^^

If anyone here likes Evangelion, do yourself a favor, and DO NOT watch the two movies that end the series. Just don't.
You will be very disturbed, possibly have nightmares, and will never be able to watch any of the episodes again because you'll know how it all ends, and ends horribly...

Lessee if I can remember all the anime I've watched...

Oh My Goddess <--- Was good

Neon Genesis Evangelion <--- Was great until about half-way-through when they started getting angsty

Chobits <---- Good the first time through, then you watch it again and realize exactly how CHEESY it is.

Last Exile <--- Watch! NOW!

Ghost in the Shell <---- Oh wow. Amazing movie.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex <--- Saw three or four episodes, couldn't stand to watch any more. Horrible bastardization of the movie.

R.O.D. <---- Original three or four episodes are amazing, as is the R.O.D. TV series. Watch it.

Witch Hunter Robin <---- Loved it, but I haven't seen the last four episodes yet.

.hack//SIGN <--- Decent, but nothing special.

Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai <----- Good. A little repetative or predictable or weak on the ending or SOMETHING like that (can't remember) but still decent.

Fullmetal Alchemist <---- WOW. This is a good anime. Ending leaves it wide open for a sequel unfortunately, but it's still VERY VERY good.

FLCL <---- Insane. I still don't think I understand this one.

Serial Experiments Lain <----- Very good, if a bit old.

Haibane Renmei <----- Made by the same people as Lain. Newer, prettier, and just as good, if not better.

Mahoromatic <---- This and the sequel left me wanting. Not wanting more, just... wanting. I kept expecting it to get GOOD, and it's just sorta mediocre.

Noir <---- Haven't finished it, but damn is it good so far.

RahXephon <---- Eh. It's a great anime, really, but the ending left me a bit confused.

Man. I didn't realize I'd seen that much anime.

OMG how did I forget FLCL? Hehe, it's just the most amazing, confusing, insane sort of thing. I love it. :D

Last Exile is cool, definitely, though I've never seen the whole series yet...

Mol, you don't like GitS:SAC?? OMG. Hehe, well, to each their own, I suppose. Bear in mind that it doesn't occur in the same 'universe' as the Ghost in the Shell movie. It's an alternative history of what would happen, had the Major not encountered the Puppet Master. It can be a bit hard to follow, since they mix 'plot' and 'non-plot' episodes. I admit it, I'm an addict. :D

I loved Read Or Die (the original OAV series). The TV series is... well, personally, I find it lacking. The writing is rather transparent and... I dunno. The characters seem to all be idiots or something. :D

Don't ever watch Now and Then, Here and There, unless you want to be sawing at your wrists with a dull spoon within about 10 minutes. I rate that all the way up there with Grave of the Fireflies and Windaria for 'Most Depressing Anime'. :p

Vampire Hunter D! Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust! w00t! Okay, they're not good movies, but they're fun, at least. :D

Just started watching Elfen Lied, which has possibly the most gorey and violent opening episode, EVAR. :D

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure... Shonen at its best. With a title like that, how can you possibly NOT watch this series? :D

Edit: I need more smilies. :D

Um, did I miss it, or has no one mentioned Cowboy Bebop? For shame, it rocks.

Evangelion was interesting, but Shinji can REALLY grate.

It took 4 viewings of all 6 episodes for me to even begin to understand the plot. I really like the music. :D

I thought about mentioning things like Cowboy Bebop and such, but since I've only seen the episodes out of order, haven't seen all of them, and have only seen the Cartoon Network dubs, I decided I shouldn't.

Read or Die: Totally unbelievable, but fun if you ignore that aspect of it. One of my favorite actually. TV version was a letdown, although still pretty good. I can ignore ridiculous plot to some degree but they took it a little far in the later episodes.

(((Possible R.O.D. spoiler)))

(((And they shoulda glorfied you-know-who's abilities much, much more. The suspense in waiting for her to "return" to the show and be "found" was pretty good though.)))

(((end)))

Some others nobody has mentioned yet, which I find odd in some cases, but:

Ranma 1/2: OK, this has it's ups and downs, but overall and highlighting the good shows/parts, it's a laugh riot. Kind of a shame they overdid it with so many episodes and with alot of don't-bother episodes with some predictability, but the good ones are still there.

Macross Plus: I found this pretty cool, nothing too special but definitely worth watching. And it's short too (only a few shows).

Three Kingdoms (Junni Kokki): If you haven't watched or heard of this, you should really be punished severely. S E V E R E L Y. Must see. And I think it's actually pretty original.

Gundam Seed / X / Wing: must see / must see / good (in same order) Unless of course you're not into big destructive mecha blowing everything up. But who isn't.

Inuyasha: Ok, everyone knows this, and like Ranma it sure has it's throw-away episodes. (argggh) But it's pretty cool overall. When it's done right.

Berserk: Weeeee this is cool! Didn't think I'd like it at first but I did. The ending blows chunks, really....REALLY! But there was a rumor about a second season which may redeem that somewhat. It's not appropriate for the younguns.

The Weathering Continent: Only a movie, but for something with pretty much no action or comedy I thought it was pretty well done. Which is a rare thing for me... (What? No fights??? ) This is probably about as far as I get into the "unknown title" category.

X: I don't know if there's a more "full" name. I'm talking about the TV series, not the (bleh!) movie or whatever which sucks. :p This is pretty cool...one of those OMGOMGOMGOMG world is gonna end shows. hehe. Fights are cool, certain characters are too. Fighting is a little like Read or Die's action scenes but with alot more variety, IIRC.

I guess the old anime thread was in the old off topic forum they demolished way back.

Evangelion: Pretty much the same exact feelings as Cross has. I'd rather stick a hot poker into my eye. But I liked the fights...most of them.

Wait, it would be even better to stick a hot poker into SHINJI's eye, now that I'd like to see. Well maybe not.

Scryed was confusing for me. It started out really cool, then went steadily downhill into God-Mode absurdity. Oh well. It had some neat ideas, at least... :)

I'm probably going to be laughed at for mentioning this one, but Kiddy Grade was decent. It was unpredictable too.
