no

/slaps hand

don't you know that you'd join too many groups and get all aggravated and quit or, worse, start griefing fellow and rival group members and linden lab would have to deal with it all.

grow up; no, don't bother; ll will protect you and the community from self destruction. trust them. chant with me now:

trust linden
trust linden
trust linden

Actually im getting aggravated by having to explain friends why i have to leave their social groups to make room for mall groups, or by not being able to join some great malls because all my items would come back to clutter my inventory at the first cleanup the owner does.
If There are technical problems about this, i personally think this is a quite serious design flaw, and as any other design flaw it should be adressed before the world expands more and the limitation becomes even more frustrating.

I can't believe any mall owners haven't gotten together yet and created a mall guild group.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It seems the only logical choice with the system as it is now.

But then you'd only need to pay rent to one mall owner, and you'd be able to put things down in all the other malls! So it would effectively turn a bunch of independent malls into a mall chain. So...

...hm, maybe an idea.

For thaose leaving groups just to have mall locations, keep in mind you only have to remain a member of the group long enough to set out the vendors. Make sure everything is set to the group in your stall then leave the group. Rejoin when you need to make changes.

This can work only if you add a product only once in a while (or if you make an exclusive use of the pesky browsable vendors that most customers get tired of browsing after the first 3 clicks), but if you are even decently productive every mall owner would get quite pissed off (with a reason i'd say) of having to invite you every time you have to put something for sale.
