Right... because some guy who grew up in Toledo has more right to live there than someone whose family has been living in refugee camps there for five generations. That sounds fair to me... not.

Sorry Corwin, but I would have to agree with Chip. I know several people from high school who moved to Israel. Why on earth they would want to move there is beyond me, but then again, I'm not Jewish.. or even religious for that matter.

It is ridiculous to think that those who've moved from the U.S. (or, anywhere else) have more of a right to that land.

I guess it just goes to prove my own thought that religion is not as 'nice' as they keep telling me.

;)

Here's another question: who thinks Israel could survive w/o the annual funding from the U.S.??

Einsmans question has got me thinking along similiar lines. I am wondering why the Jews have a right to Israel if they where actually a tribe that migrated out of Egypt?

To me this whole mess is just another example of the extremely negative facets of organized religion. I was once told (please correct me if I am wrong) that the number of human beings that have perished as a result of organized religion is second only to deaths by old age and mosquito borne illness. Sad.

While the fundamentals of all 3 of the major involved religions are positive, and extoll the virtues of peace, forgiveness, and compassion, the overall legacy of all 3 is deplorable.

On a recent event, what does Sharon expect to gain by this latest prisoner exchange? He got 3 bodies and one high level Israeli for how many Palestinians? I doubt it's his intent, but does not this just say to the Palestinians "keep bombing, and we will reward you?"
