Didn't say it did, it just seems weather is getting stranger and Earthquakes and such get more frequent. They say this Tsunami did something to the Earth Rotation also, I wonder if that's gonna effect weather patterns.

here in alaska there are sometimes 100 or more earthquakes a day, Our ice caps are melting this alone will effect everyone..so yes the weather patterns are changing..

here is a page for you to read: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqs

in this is on alaska itself: http://www.aeic.alaska.edu/Seis/recenteqs/index.html

In 2004:

Wild Fires in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado

4 Consecutive Category 3 & 4 Hurricanes in the Islands and South East Coast

27 Volcanos became active among them, the eruption of Mt. St. Helens http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763388.html

15 Major Earthquakes (major = > than 7.0) resulting in 906 deaths
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0920923.html

Subsequent Tsunami - 150,000 Deaths and still counting.

Oh and a asteroid is headed our way and should be here by 2029.

As Ryen Jade said: Zeus is pissed.

If you want to really freak yourself out, check out this web site: http://www.armageddononline.org/

Me... I think I'll just have another glass of wine, a bowl of popcorn, troll the SL Forums and fly low under the Zeus radar for as long as I can.

I've heard that a storm equivilant to a storm in 195? is coming to the northwest. Said to have the exact same weather patterns. Some places getting as much as 28" a day.

funny part this was in the news about the end of USA/CANADA

From: someone

Where could the next Mega Tsunami come from
A volcano named Cumbre Vieja on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands of North Africa is where geologists suspect the next tsunami could begin. The reason for the concern... In 1949 during a volcanic eruption part of the island slid into the ocean before ending its descent. Should another large eruption of the Cumbre Vieja occur, the western side of the island is likely to collapse into the Atlantic.

Predicting the next eruption isn't a likely happening; geologists cannot say whether or not the next eruption will be the one to make the island shed its western shore. Until then, we have to watch and wait.

500 billion tons of rock creating five thousand trillion, (that's fifteen zeros), joules of kinetic energy, that is transferred and converted to a 600 to a thousand meter tall wave with excessive speeds. Ten minutes and it will have traveled 250 kilometers, all the while powered by the underwater landslide.

was from that site but was on the news week ago..

I believe it was the earthquake Blake that caused a slight shudder in the rotation. The earthquake (incidentally which caused the tsunami) was over a 9.0 on the Richter scale and deemed one of the largest ever recorded in that region for ages.

I saw the movie "The Day After Tommorow" Christmas night... if you've seen the movie, you'll know what I mean when I say: imagine waking up the next morning to see the reports about the Tsunami on the news!!

Very freaked out!

Weather patterns ebb and flow across the millenia. The earth has been both much warmer and much colder than it is, today. Although I admit things have been kinda crazy lately, I've seen some reports that say that incidents such as the tsunami are just a normal part of the earth's renewal process.

What appears to be different, now, is that there has been a massive population explosion over the last 50-100 years, and with that, a huge migration trend toward coastal cities and towns. In fact, some ridiculous percentage of the world's population now lives within a few hundred miles of the earth's various coastlines. So, what may actually be happening is that more people are being affected now by the earth's normal and cyclical patterns of self-renewal.

All that said, I think we can relax. I don't think the world is ending any time soon.

:D

Where I am, we got a TON of snow. I haven't seen this much snow since about 1999.

Anyways, what's really scary to me is the asteroid in 2029. There's a one in 300 chance at the moment that it will impact the earth.

Also, with the potential for a tsunami from the Canary Islands, I believe I read that it is very unlikely it will happen in our lifetime or the lifetime of our children, but it is still kind of a spooky thought to think that could happen at any time.

Also, the New Madrid fault line in southern Illinois is due for a MAJOR "event" soon so I also worry about that.

But, none of those events compare to what I worry about the most:

WORLD DOMINATION FROM EVIL COWS!
