I hate SL! This game is a freakin Siren! It seduces you with all these promises of build your dreams and then poof you realize it's a poor imitation for happiness!
i can't match the tori to match two cylnders at 18 degrees! you'd think that 5% of a cricle was 18 degrees but not in SL! in SL the laws of euclidean geometry either collapse or we need more decimal places and a better definition for pi.
this is a pitiful building tool set. i've had enough! i quit!

Cry me a river. This isn't the universe, where we have laws of geometry to protect us from bad alignment. Check the TOS, there's nothing at all in there about geometry! The Lindens owe us nothing, least of all geometry! Go align your real plywood tori and cylinders in the real world.

I dont know what your problem is Jau. SL has it's idiosyncrasies yeah, but it's still pretty good at what it does.

LL hasn't delivered. there is no reason to accept this inadequacy since there is many examples of much better 3d tools out there that could be emulated. secondly, i take offense at the insinuation implicite in your joke that somehow you are better than me at modeling tori. last time i checked, you did not hold a PHD from the builders guild mentor/apprenticeship program. i appreciate your support for this product, but perhaps i put more emphasis on value for value exchange. you can waste your time trying to match tori to cylinders but until you show me a jpg of success at 18 degrees, i'm not buying it. |
