I am a Star Wars geek. :D Now, I'm not one to stand out in lines for 2 months waiting to buy tickets... but I'm definitely a fanatic.

I took off work this Thursday and Friday just for this... I am treating Episode III very much like a religious pilgrimage.

Here is my Star Wars itinerary, starting with this last weekend:

Last weekend: 3 hours of The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network
Tuesday: The Phantom Menace
Wednesday: Attack of the Clones
Thursday, 10:30am: Revenge of the Sith (I could not get 12:01am tickets :( )
Thursday afternoon: A New Hope
Friday afternoon: The Empire Strikes Back
Friday evening: Return of the Jedi
Saturday: Revenge of the Sith (again :D)

Please tell me I'm not the only serious Star Wars geek here. :) Anyone else planning Star Wars overdose like this?

May the Force be with you,

-Ghoti

If I didn't have to work, and if I lived in a town big enough to have a line... I'd be in it.

Right now I can say "32 hours, 5 minutes, and 41 seconds until Ep 3. Of that, 31 hours, 55 minutes and 41 seconds until I /leave/ for Ep 3. And of that, 31 hours, 5 minutes and 41 seconds (average or so) until I make a carefully planned dinner before Ep. 3. that won't make me have to get up and use the facilities halfway through the movie."

That's pretty high on the nerdy scale. Like Commander Data. (Yes, I hold SW and ST in equal respects.)

I used to be a Star Wars geek, but this time around I can't afford to let myself get excited about it. I'll go see it in a couple of weeks after the initial hubbub dies down.

Yeah, i'm a Star Wars geek... but Episodes I and II, then Star Wars Galaxies kinda ruined it all for me...

Thank god for Knights of the Old Republic though...

Episode III looks like it might be ok though. I won't be able to see it first day unfortunately... that'll break my record :(

Stupid school.

OK the question is:
Name the two things different about Mac Windu’s light saber.

As the leader of the Jedi Council, his is the only purple lightsaber. ... I'm not sure if this is unique, but it is also switch-activated where more we've seen in the movies are button activated.

Do I win a prize? :D

I usually wait a few weeks after it comes out to see it. But it might be longer since the local movie theater got damaged by hurrican Ivan and hasn't opened back up yet, it might be awhile. The other is still in the process of being built.

However I have already read the book, so I know most of what happens in the movie already. (Even though I know at least one part was left out of the book)

I stood in line for over 4 hours under heavy snow in Boston back in '97 just to see the re-release of Star Wars. It was cold as hell but I've never hung out with a nicer bunch at the theatre since then! I wish I could go see it tomorrow but doesn't look like it'll happen, doesn't make me any less excited to see this!!!

Oh... I forgot to mention I rescheduled a move from Boston to Buenos Aires just so I could see it... people were *not* happy :p

His Saber is purple, only one show in any of the movies or Cartoons. Not true for games.
BMF is engraved on the bottom of the hilt. Yes for BAD MOTHER FUCKER.

I've always been a fan. I was shocked when my buddy said his wife got us tickets.

It recites Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." ;)

Everytime I see Mace, all I can think is that verse and "Aww man, I shot Marvin in the face".

I keep waiting for Mace to utter “Normally I would kill your motherfucking ass, motherfucker, but right now I’m going through a transitional period”

Or at the very least..

"Does Yoda look like a bitch?"

Hehehe I like Lucas's response.
From: someone
Lucas said Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival that the movie was written before the Iraq war. "We were just funding Saddam Hussein and giving him weapons of mass destruction,"
