Chris Linden: ATTENTION: We are having asset server problems and must kick everyone to prevent further content loss

... and I was just asking Nova when we're getting a decentralized asset server. *grin*

EDIT: Oh, and he said they'd update the forum as soon as they could.
EDIT: /invalid_link.html
EDIT: It's up.

When it blew up, part of the asset server was thrown over there, another part over here, a little bit in our hair, so NOW it's decentralized.

Yeah great. I don't buy much of anything and just bought two $L50 items, neither of which showed up in my inventory. No big deal but annoying.

*sigh*

If it isn't ticks it's fleas. I know the boards will no doubt soon be full of bitching and venting but this is getting tiring. Doesn't anything work properly? Mind you, I imagine my frustration is nothing compared to the frustration of those whose livings (LL) depend on this world.

Yea, really. This is getting ridiculous...so many problems with the asset server lately. Decentralization is the way to go; seems to work well for the Net anyway!

So where's the part of the forums we're supposed to see for this so-called more information? ;) Hey, on your toes LL! :P

Just teasing. In seriousness, I'm glad to know that they are trying to fix the asset server issues... but weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee at the 30 second warning! *grin*

You know, I'm normally a very understanding person, but this is getting ridiculous!

Here we were about to have our initial TRINGO EVENT at the new TRINGO BARN in Red River City, and they kick us!

Philip, Robin, you know me, I'm a patient guy, but come on, this is really starting to get out of hand!

Please, if you need to keep the grid offline for a number of days to come up with a PERMANENT FIX then do so, but stop this UP AND DOWN of the grid because you keep "patching things with shoe-strings and bubble gum!"

Wonder when we get an eta for upness?

I reckon the grid died when I logged out for 10 minutes - it couldn't cope with the separation...

Come on LL, feed that poor hamster once in a while!

Seriously though, I've never seen a "game" (world, whatever) with so many bugs...

Hey, i'm surprised the forum's already here. Production crises are never fun.

Do hope we get our stuff back tho. Gonna cry if I lose some of my things. Hours of work.

But maybe I just don't understand the situation.

Since this originally happened. Not only have more items gone missing from mine and probably anyones inventory. Or in there but cannot be rezzed due to some error message.

But people who are buying items are not recieving them...which could really choke someone paying say 4K for a skin and not getting it.

So after 2 months or so + any reason this has not be resolved?

I know  I'm surprised it wasn't taken down earlier. Based on forum posts with the problems people were experiencing during the day :(

I hope Haney re-schedules his 4:30 event to discuss instructor events, live helpers, mentors and the greeter program. Since my kids have soccer practice in a bit, I couldn't make it today anyway.
