Good post.............. :)

I have two actually. One is "Its a wonderful life" (the original) and the second is the musical "Scrooge" with Albert Finny (Great flick!).

Those are my two fav's, but that is not to say I don't LOVE all the other X-Mas classicks like frosty and the like especially now that I have my two great kids to watch it with..... :)

"I like life. Life like's me. Life and I both fully agree, that life is grand and life is good, especially mine, which is the way that it should be........." - Albert Finny singing in the musical "Scrooge"..........

Mine is definitely "A Christmas Carol". Although I enjoy all versions of it, the one I have watched every xmas since I was a little one was the 1951 movie starring Alastair Sim. Its a British version in Black and White. Although I hear they came out with a colorized version. This movie is so classic and I enjoy it every year.

Scrooge, aka A Christmas Carol, 1951. The Black & White version is creepy, enlightening and uplifting all in one!

However, I like the 1970 musical revival era production with Albert Finney nad Alec Guiness a bit more. Perhaps it was songs like the one that the following was snipped from:

(Scrooge)
No, no, dear friends, it is I who should thank you

Thank you very much, thank you very much
That's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me
The future looks alright, in fact it looks so bright
I feel as if they're polishing the sun for me

And if I had a drum, I'd have to bang it
To add a sort o' rumpty tumpty touch
But since I left me drummer at home I simply have to say
Thank you very, very, very much
Thank you very, very, very much

Muppet Christmas Carol

I've always been a sucker for the Muppets. :D

The little "In Memory of Jim Henson" kinda gets me a little misty at the beginning of it tho. :(

I'll have to watch for that one to come up as I haven't seen it yet, but I pretty much like most of what Jim Carrey has been in - so it's now on my "must see" list.
