From: someone Gah! Someone bought a big chunk of water in front of my house + dock area and raised it such that nothing can float through that corner (clara/freelon/perry) at all I'm thinking mebe a couple ramps on each side and a 'Turbo booster' button on board?? Seen Knight Rider or the Dukes of hazard? Guess I'll be adding 'Emergency Hover!' to my next version of jet boats - Tay

How about a suttle hint?
*Plonks a lighthouse on the corner of his land!*
Okay, I managed to buy a small passage of land and lower some of the obstacles to create a narrow path (yay!).....
And released it....
It was bought straight back (permanently) by another person and raised back again.
I give up....

Can you tell I was fustrated Pleased to say the waters in the corner of clara/freelon/perry are free for sailing once more. The owner of the massive chunk of water/land let it go again it seems, so I snagged it and lowered it back down. If the owner of the area saw this post then thanks

Hi all
Taber Tudor Village has an unwritten policy to keep the waterways open. all the bridges there are click to open so that boats can get through (well except for 1, working on that as we don't own it)
I love sailing around in boats and it is great to see all this happening.

For those who didn't see my other post, I bought up a small strip of land and made a channel that now links all of lower Mocha and Lime to the northern sea...
I had to tier up to do this too, so I hope someone uses it =D

I've done a bit of terraforming on the primary chunk of land I own in tabor to make is a bit more friendly to water craft. I've also got a simple dock as well. From: someone Originally posted by Garth Fairlight Hi all

just a quick note: i've had pretty good luck in the past with getting one of the Lindens to buy up strips of land under the waterway as a means of preserving the route.
i don't know if they're still doing that now with 1.2, but its worth a try.

Clyde

Just want to say a good portion of Clyde is water and the portion that I own will remain open water for as long as I control it (other than my landing platform which I intend to edit to make it even less obstructive). Dunno about Atlantis, haven't seen the owner around in forever.

A lot of the waterways are tightening up lately. It is really too bad. It seems like lack of available land is forcing people to build out over the waterways. The northern coast of Shipley is almost completely cut off now. Many places are tight lately. It is hard to bitch at these builders because of the current land situation, but it would be cool if they would build on stilts so boats could pass under or something. As always, we appreciate everyone's efforts to help preserve the waterways for boating and sheer scenic beauty of SL. There has been a little talk about hosting a regatta. I have been pretty busy with RL and have not been able to put much into planning of this, but I know some Sailors been thinking about it and planning. So, to any Sailors out there, feel free to network with group IM and get something going towards this end. Island or Cayman could work as a site for the races, it would be easy to judge the course around the perimeter of the sim. I would love to see some boat racing, Im just too wiped out to concentrate on the details, so knock yourselves out if you have the motivation
