I voted for Prokofy. I've learned two words from him. One is of course "feted".
The other I can't recall. It had something to do with a person who wears or makes hats.Prokofy, what was that word? ~Ulrika~ _____________________

I could probably make a 'who is the biggest attention (edited)' and only have to change the the topic!

Hmmm, one of the folks listed in the poll lost a measure of the respect I had for him/her as a superlative wielder of weapons etymological when he/she used the word "febrile" in a recent thread; it was obvious that "feeble" was what he/she meant to say.

No no. That was Prokofy who said "febrile". I was quoting a line from the Simpsons to be funny. ![]() ~Ulrika~ _____________________

I voted for Prokofy as well lol. I knew what feted, hector, and the other hyperbolic nonsense he has used in his colorful ramblings meant, so no vocab epiphany for me. However, the key to using a strong vocabulary is to put out the $5 words sparingly. He will repeat the same word ad naseum in his posts, so it detracts from any real eloquence and instead makes him seem even more supercilious (though it is actually a reverse arrogance, he attributes arrogance to everyone else). He is great at the forum equivalent of the sound bite though, n'est-ce pas? As far as fixated loons go, he definitely has been the most well spoken though, I give him props for that. He is definitely teh verbose.
BTW, Ulrika, I have decided Hector is your new nickname ![]() _____________________

"febrile" means feverish, from the Latin febris and can also mean "insane".
I'd have to see the context, maybe I made a mistake. I didn't mean "feeble". But I might have meant "imbecile". _____________________
