Ok blame this on Mt. Dew or lack of sleep for it is going to sound totally sappy and vaguely homoerotic, but I don't care I spent some time tonight looking at your web site and listening to your music, and I was really moved by the entire experience. While taking it all in is not something that can be accomplished in one night, I was struck by how much living you actually do, both in RL and SL. You manage to capture the essence of what is so magical about SL and reading through your site reaffirms why I am still in SL after nearly 2 years. The fact that you have been a part of our world for such a short time, and yet I can't imagine a time without you here is really something.

I can't think of anyone who has come into Second Life and somehow managed to touch everyone they have met in such a genuine and positive way, in such a record time. I mean you have people DESIGNING STUFF FOR YOU IN WATERMELON. That should tell you something. I can't even get Launa to make me something blue Cars, boats, Victorian gowns, Prada handbags, Swatches in pink and green are all something to behold lol. Not only did you come into SL like a ball of fire, but you came with your own color scheme.

You have such a wicked sense of humor and such a good heart, and that is a rare combo, and I just wanted to post something here and tell you how happy I am that you are around. Whether I spend 5 minutes or an hour talking with you, it is always memorable and filled with a shocking amount of photos. Thank you for coming into our Second Life, mine especially- you are one of a kind, lady

Cris.. that is soooo funny that you posted this. I did the same thing the other day. Spent hoooooours looking through Torley's site and all of the spawning links. A couple of hours ago I was actually having a great conversation with another SLer about the awesome world of Torley on the web that sucked me in. Your sentiments are definitely echoed by many in SL.

Torley *IS* Second Life.

I completely second that Cris.. Torley is as genuine, bright and positive an individual as I have met inworld, and I have met a few. If I feel the need for company, you can guarantee that wherever Torley is, will be where the party is at.

She just needs to type slower.. I always thought I was a decent typist but whoosh.. four sentences to every one of mine. Hehe..

Is there anyone in SL who doesn't know Torley?

Well, I'm very privileged of having met Torley such a looooooong time ago. I was fascinated how she managed to keep 4 different conversations on public chat in Ahern, while keeping 5 IM conversations at the same time. Just to show how slow I was in typing, at some time Torley said in public chat, "Gwyn, take a look at the IM", when noticing that I wasn't keeping up with the IM conversation - which was very true! That led me to the belief that Torley in RL is an octopus, writing on 4 different keyboards at the same time (she claims to be a touch typist... naaaah ). Or that actually 4 people were sharing the same avatar - at the same time! Besides living on a 20-hour SL day, Torley manages the impossible - being at 3 or 4 different places "simultaneously". Or what looks like it. When Torley is with a friend somewhere, and while we exchange a few messages in IM, suddenly I find out that she has tp'ed to my place, managed to keep up the conversation all the way long, and surprises me by suddenly going "Gwyngywngwyn!!!" in public chat. LOL! Uncanny, but there is always the warm feeling of knowing that she is always here to spread her "contagious optimism", like Milo said.

By this I mean that Torley has this unique and amazing ability to make you feel special, and there is ALWAYS time for her to keep in touch with each and every of her in-world friends - and my, I expect she has a few thousands!

I'm not sure if I can consider myself Torley's #1 fan. I was that when she just had a "few hundred friends" after the first day of joining SL, still at those days when she had a male avatar With a few thousand now, I guess there would be many more candidates to the title. What I'm sure is that all these uncountable hundreds ALL consider themselves Torley's #1 fan! And that's simply, utterly amazing - from my experience, I don't know about anyone - SL or RL - that can claim the same level of overall appreciation of the community!

Torley would certainly have my vote for the Second Life Community Award, if one day this happened to exist. Sometimes I think that Second Life would be a very different place, much emptier, if it weren't for Torley. This only shows that, for so many of us, great socialization - like Torley does - is much more important than pretty builds and nifty scripts. SL is about people. And there is nobody I know in SL that can touch people better than Torley does...

Well, I keep trying to get to know Torley more, but she is even more of a Social bug than I am. And that's hard to do! I had the pleasure of going to Torley's blog a couple of weeks ago, and I was totally sucked in! You are an incredible person Torley! Here is to seeing more of you! *HUGS*

Cris, that ruled, I think you spoke for everyone. I went through her website last night and ended up staying up much later than I had expected. I really loved reading about how she filled up the sandbox with watermelon and that she actually waited til everything was cleared out. That is insane!!! I was so laughing my arse off!

I met Torley for the first time IW last night at the forum party and right away she infected me with her watermelonicious personality!! You so Rule Torley, don't ever leave us!!

I have only met Torley once (unfortunatly) but instantly I knew Tor was something special. These are the kinds of people who make games great and everlating..... I do not really know you that well Tor (my loss) but to stimulate such affection and love is the halmark of a wonderous soul. Actions always speak lowder than words and your actions Torley are golden........

I for one hope to get to know you more (like I do so many other good people) but in either case, thank you very much for being part of the community and our lives.......
