Cyanide Leviathan: Err support@ige Henry : We have not seen in the game before. The orders were cancelled as the price may change today. Please order with us again. James Lindgren: Ok, but I gave the money to the IGE rep Cyanide Leviathan: The transaction history should show a payment of 27,000 from Cyanide Leviathan Henry : Do you mean that you put the L$ in the mail box? Cyanide Leviathan: Yes Cyanide Leviathan: But then I recieved an Email that stated that the transaction had been cancelled Cyanide Leviathan I was trying to get someone to just return the money and I would do redo the sale, the email i recieved back told me to come to live assistance Henry : Please place a new order again. Cyanide Leviathan: The person on IGE wheenling asked waht the money was for, I told him that i was selling it to IGE Cyanide Leviathan: They said that there was no sale from me, and they logged off without returning the money Cyanide Leviathan: So I sent an email to support@ige telling them what i just told you, and asked them to return the money so that i could make another order to sell it Cyanide Leviathan: and they sent a reply telling me to talk to customer service Cyanide Leviathan: Livesupport Henry : Do you mean that you gave us the L$ in the game? Cyanide Leviathan: Yes Henry : Did we get a contact in the game before the pick up of your order? He then went on to tell me that the money was never picked up, and that the money must still be in my account. He then went on to tell me to place another order, and they would ome and pick that up. So, is IGE trying to screw me over, or are they just really that dumb?

From: Cyanide Leviathan . So, is IGE trying to screw me over, or are they just really that dumb? That dumb. I suspect this will get sorted out, but I have seen instances like this many times w/ IGE. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Cy after last time I did business with them it left an uneasy taste in my mouth however it was eventually resolved.
New course of action in the future once this is resolved it wait for them to show up in world and contact you. I dont trust any other method now as miss sending funds to an account can happen readly Id rather do it avatar to avatar. But that is just me.
Shadow.

Since IGE deals with many different online games, they might not realize that you can receive money from other players while the IGE Wheeling account is offline and that you can review the payment from your transaction history.
It's just because they aren't real-players in SL that is causing the confusion.

IGE always has left me with an odd taste in my mouth... its kind of an offshore operation. I'd much rather deal with Hank, Jamie or Anshe... you know, the folks we know on a first name basis... than people who don't understand the tech or community.

Maybe it's just me, but if the company I'm dealing with doesn't know it's product (in this case how currency online is handled by a game they support) - I wouldn't do business with them.
And I'm not being 'anti-IGE' here - I don't go to certain places for computer parts if the 'sales droids' try to peddle me Mac parts for a PC. If the guy at Checker Auto trys to give me a air filter for a Ford Escort to put in my Honda Civic - I won't go back there again.
Some food for thought......... If you are unhappy with the service - maybe it's time to look to other alternative vendors.
Siggy.

I would be worried too!
I'm hoping you get your funds back - I wouldn't be too happy with losing a 25k wad either!

just to contrast...

i had a $25k payment to GOM that was actually 'lost' by the SL system, it had been shortly after a server failure and somehow the transaction was not properly recorded.. i paid the atm, the money was withdrawn, but the atm (and zeppi's account) never recieved it.
After contacting them, they immediately contacted the lindens and urged me to do the same. LL found the problem was a relatively obscure bug in the sim code, and after verifying the money was missing from my account compared to the expected floating balance, credited it to zeppi who had it credidted to my GOM account that day.
i mean this was a *worse* problem, in that neither of our account histories even showed the transaction, an GOM still worked with me and LL to get it resolved. Needless to say, i know which currency service i trust.

Shadow. Agreed... I never make the payment til the guy comes online and asks for it. Never had a problem.

I had a credit card charged after their site said it couldn't be verified. It was fixed but only after going through the "Who's on First, What's on Second," routine with their so-called help.

My personal experience with IGE Wheeling as an av inworld has not been the most comfortable, mainly because she (or "he" with a simple click of the gender button?) has appeared several times to me, uncommunicative all of those times. It was kinda sad. I mean, what's the point of having an av representative inworld if you're not gonna talk much -- apart from the mechanical acts of wrangling transactions and operating terminals and such. I don't feel this puts a very warm human face forward in terms of customer services and enticing new people to buy and sell and such on IGE. While I've not done business with them, these incidents have made me cautious. Maybe this was a misunderstanding on my end, but eh... I like to deal with someone I can talk to, and even laugh with.

I've been waiting for a $393.00 wire transfer from them for a month now, which was suppose to be a "next business day" transaction. Then their going to take $40.00 off the top for the wire transfer. They have accused me of fraud because I tried a few times to buy money but I didn't have enough on my credit card which raised a red flag for them.... they say. Yet I can buy money every other week from them. Yeah it's money in THEIR pocket but they won't give me MY real life cash. It's an on going endless circle of emails and phone calls.... I'm soooo tired =(

I've used IGE on one or two occasions...
I've been less than impressed with their "I m here for ur money" attitude, their general lack of knowledge of the SL system ... "but I *paid* you already, look in the account history* ... *ten minutes of silence* ... "Im here for the 20k" ... "I paid you" ... "ok hang on" It sounds like they are 14 year olds doing the pickups.
One thing I've learned dealing with them is, you have to pay them while they're online AFTER they say they're there for the pickup. They really don't understand the system here and that you can pay any time.
Having said all that, they have been reliable and their customer service reps have helped me both times I had trouble...
I can definitely recommend Hank Ramos' service, his customer service is fantastic. The system is quite fast, too. And obviously, GOM is popular for good reason...

i sell lindens to ige. i port the av to me and make them talk to me and acknowledge that i am handing them money after the first time, when i handed over the money long distance and they logged with no comment. i agonized for a week waiting for the check.
i deal with ige cuz they will send me my money in a check in the mail. i just like that better than pay pal, which confuses my poor raisin like brain.
so sayeth:

We do that too. We also have several customers who prefer money orders and e-gold over PayPal, so we support those as well. We've had issues with YowCow recently, which is why we're no longer endorsing them as a place to deal with.

Ya know I've never spoken to Ricky or Zeppi in world..... ever..... Why? I've never had to. I think that statement speaks volumes in their favor Siggy.

I've always been impressed with the professionalism of GOM, even following events that would really have me nuts. The one time I spoke with IGE Wheeling it was to tell them that guns aren't allowed in our sim - following which he proceeded to machine gun the hell out of it for the next five minutes before logging off.

From: Ricky Zamboni Yes...and I'm so very, very lonely. To tell the truth Ricky, the experience is very overrated Anyone who simply *MUST* talk to me in world has walked away very dissapointed... It pretty much amounts to me hurling 4 letter words at inanimate objects then going afk for a smoke Siggy.l

I just talked to the secondlife specific part of IGE. They were extremely helpful, and it was sorted out. What I think happened was that IGE isnt very organized with contact between the different people that deal with different games. Would do buisness with IGE again, but only through live person.

I contacted live support for the second time, and they came up with some junk about wanting to phone me to verify me. I gave them my cellphone and urged them to call me soon (by now it was 2:30am). After another 15 mins of them not calling me, I told the live support guy NOT to bother, and just to keep the money they hadn't sent, and we'd call it quits. The next day I find they dumped the money in my account anyway... *** I also ordered from the Gaming Open Market. And what happened? Transfered money from Paypal to my account. Instant. Bought Lindens from someone offering them for sale. Instant. Transferred those lindens to my account. Instant. The entire process was robotic and took about 45 seconds. I've used IGE many times cause I cant use Paypal. The longest ive ever waited is about 20 min. Most of the time within 10 min. Now I've never sold though, just bought. Theres been more than more company over time that either I've had tons of problems with, but none of my friends have, or vice versa. Who knows, just wanted to know theres more than one side to any situation or company. Morlee Moreau
