ooh another fun rate... the aspca spends most of its time rescuing abused and maltreated pet animals, and it has a very good success rate, about 65% of rescued animals are able to be rehabilitated and find new homes... peta on the other hand does take in 'rescued' animals.. and they put about 75% of them down...

yup several years ago, peta rescued about 2200 animals, and 'humanely disposed' of abuot 1550 of them... someone should call the aspca on *THEM* honestly cause thats jus frighteningly dismal results for people who are supposed to care about these poor pets

What I wanted to point out is that PETA can have some views that are pretty ridiculous.

Awwwww, I expected more from you, Hiro! I always enjoy your posts, and you aren't the type to say X orginization's/ X people's views are ridiculous, but it's too philosophical for me to be interested to discuss.

At the risk of dropping all pandahumor, I would just like to remind people posting in this thread that some people take cruelty-free lifestyles very seriously. The trend of every thread that I have seen of this nature goes something like this:

VEGETARIAN ORGANIZATION JOKE! HAHAHA
VEGETARIAN JOKE! HAHAHA

It's kinda boring, and wouldn't be accepted if directed at most other social structures / worldviews.

Maybe it comes from being barraged by this type of humor every time I decide to EAT?

But please, keep it coming, as I have yet to hear some truly genius vegetarian jokes.
