I have an idea on how to do NPC interaction, I've been meaning to script it, I can send you the script when I finish it if you wish. Heres a basic outline if you feel like tinkering yourself, nothing revolutionary, but hey: User clicks NPC and gets random NPC quote. In order to "talk" or "quest" for the NPC, the user right clicks the NPC and chooses "Talk To" (basicly just the llSitText), the user then directly faces the NPC etc. since they're "sitting" on the NPC. Adjust the Sit Offset and apply a standing animation to make it look like you're simply standing infront of the NPC. Dialogs could be used for NPC <-> user talk to reduce chat spam. However you could also of course just simply use chat too. Anyway, that was my little idea I had for NPC interaction, makes it more personal than just walking up to an NPC and chatting. Theres no real absolute need to do it, of course you could just use chat with the NPC turning to face the user, but then the user has to address the NPC with a name or keyword or the NPC to use llSensor to find out whose talking to it. If theres any coding or building (not best at animals, but basic building structures I'm ok with), or even some basic texture work, feel free to contact me.

I like Oz's sitting idea. You could also impliment a talking animation, think Sims 2 gestures, but not quite so dramatic

Oooh, I have an eastern style dragon av that could easily be used as an avatar-played monster. >:) Lemme know if you'd like to borrow it, or me. Or mabey I can even help you with other monster avs. Also, now this one isn't as serious, TROGDOR! n.n

Yeah I like the idea about the NPC-facing script. While there's no need to give me a script that displays dialogs (I'll need te rewrite that anyway) I can sure use the facing-animation!!! and I always give credit/money for the stuff you make for DarkLife And also I am interested in avatar-based monsters We can sure use those for events. But keep in mind that both these ideas requite code (quest/PvP) that has not been done yet so it could take months before your stuff is actually used. But there's no problem in giving it now. If I need it I can see who's the creator and I can compesate you (and tell you) at the moment I'm going to use your script/design!
