From: Lordfly Digeridoo Setting your lot to "no-build" wouldn't do anything...
All they'd have to do is create it on your neighbor's plot and drag it over.
This is a catastrophe.
LF WOW! what if the land was also no access, can the prims be dragged onto it still? Forget grim reaper....it's a damn lock down against the prim griefer!

From: Robin Linden I'm checking with the dev team to see what we can do about this. I'll have more information for you tomorrow. Thank you Robin for your reply. It eases the situation a bit knowing that this has been acknowledged by LL and that it is being looked into.

From: Shiryu Musashi New attack right now, same gabriel solvang, this time on Seefeld, fps bogged down to 150 Hmm... so this guy did it yesterday... and he's still in game today? The "real time" police blotter hasn't been updated for 3 days... where are the Lindens? Dammit, this pisses me off.

Kinda makes you wonder if whats listed in the blotter really happened, or is just posted to make the Lindens look good. Without names there is no way of telling.

Every day it seems there's a new flaw, or bug, or something. That permissions thing I was so worried about got patched recently, only for someone to report the next day that a more serious permissions flaw still exists... Now a serious flaw exists allowing griefers to strip people's land bare... I hardly go in game anymore, I'm just fed up

One day this may all come to pass for Linden Labs, but these days today are not easy ones...

From: Aaron Levy It doesn't ease the situation at all knowing now that the SAME PERSON did it again today. It eases the situation a bit for some of us, since we would rather get some feedback from LL than to have reached 20 pages and not have any Linden post.

From: Aaron Levy The sim Grizedale was attacked moments ago with the latest griefing technique of filling up the sim with objects, which causes it to start returning objets.
But it doesn't return the griefer's objects, it only starts returning all the legit objects in the sim to their owners, leaving the griefer's shit in place.
This is a bug, a loophole, an oversight -- whatever... it needs to be addressed immediately by the Lindens.
The most recently created objects in a sim should be the ones returned to their owners. This way the griefer's attack objects will be returned to them, and the regular users, the legitimate user of the sim will not be affected. Most definatly needs to be taken care. M

Blaze? If the object-return bug didn't exist, this problem wouldn't exist. That said, yes, there's a significant virus threat in SL. No, limiting llRezObject is not the answer. Shut up about limiting LSL. From: Kats Kothari It eases the situation a bit for some of us, since we would rather get some feedback from LL than to have reached 20 pages and not have any Linden post. However, since the same person did it again, they should have been banned already, at least temporarily. They haven't been, which is a problem.

I just stumbled across this thread (thank god) but the first thing that came to my mind is age. How old is this freak? Either an extremely pathetic adult with absolutely NO life and some serious social issues, or a pimple faced teenager with absolutely NO friends and no way to vent his/her sexual frustrations. Someone has to know what is troubling this fool. There is always one reject of society that feels the need to inflict his/her pain on everyone else.
I would think that there are many ways to ban someone, not just by credit card #. Ban his/her name, address, ip, phone number, whatever. Just Ban this person, maybe he/she will get a clue and prey on another game instead of SL. Wishful thinking, but hey, it could happen! Couldn't it? *shrugs*

Ah, so when this affected other people, you merely agreed that it was a nuisance and needed to be fixed at some point. Now that it affects YOU, it needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Of course.

Anyone remember when someone got a super reproductive fish linked to a linden account, back when prims cost 10L?

We've got one of the developers assigned to this problem. He's going to take a look and see what we can do to in any or all of the following ways:
- give you the tools you need to make sure people can't drop junk on your land, - or make it easier to clean up without losing your own objects, - or fix any bugs that are allowing this type of griefing.
